Do you know, it's actually a great feeling looking at the table and even though the Rags have won, seeing them sat in 7th, still 9 points behind the leader with 3 of the 6 above them still to play.

I always find a silver lining, but this one's gold ;-)

Atletico showing us how to handle Barca. Hopefully we will do something similar but at least get a few goals in.

The team at the top of the league in Spain are 27 points clear of the team in 8th. In England, the team at the top are 13 points clear of the team in 8th (who have a game in hand). Therefore, the football in England is far more competitive. Therefore, we will murder Barca. Good logic I think.

Quick one. Did I see the first Rag goal coming from a piece of play that should've been chalked off due to the eventual scorer being a yard or 2 offside?

Was it even debatable?

The argument will be he wasn't "active" when the ball went over his head.Complete bollocks tho as the man marking him was forced in to a (bad) defensive header. Just a slice of luck they haven't had for a while and boy did they need it as they were shocking till then.

I had the pleasure of watching the match with a bunch of Rags. All they could do was laugh at the suggestion of offsides. They were just clutching at straws to secure a goal, let alone a result. Fortunately for them every shot (as in 2) that Swansea took was right into De Gea's hands, and even if he missed it, would have hit him in the face. Shocking is right Sir Douglas.

It certainly was Beefy. But now i'm far less pissed off because they are now irrelevant to us this season. It should be the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Spurs who will be getting pissed off about that decision.

Also gotta throw them a bone every now and again don't you? We're not totally heartless bastards ;) Plus it will keep wee Davey in a job a bit longer before they inevitably find a much better manager. I hope they win next week against Chelsea and then against Arsenal. Apart from those two games and the derby, they aren't our problem anymore.

The game next weekend Chelsea v Scum is going to be a great one for us to watch ... not the boring both playing for a draw like early season but now both would 'need' to win for different reasons so hopefully not a boring 0-0 (although knowing both those managers, who knows) ... but it'll be good if the Scum beats Chelsea as that's taking points off them and dragging them behind us a little ... and if Chelsea beats the Scum, oh well when's that such a bad result, ha ha ha ...

absolutely. I want what's best for city. Arsenal and Chelsea are our rivals. They aren't. Thus I hope rags lose every game but those two. Don't get me wrong, I won't be sat here in a rag shirt cheering but I'll be quietly hoping Chelsea lose to them next week. However if Chelsea do win. It's a pretty good consolation that the rags have lost.

absolutely. draws with fights, brawls, red cards, and injuries. Don;t want the rags to ever win. We need chelsea and arse to not win.

Quick question to anyone who say the athletico - barca game: Whats barca's biggest weakness and do we have the resources to exploit that weakness?

Agree eith both sentiments. I love City mire than i hate the rags, so anything that helps us to me is a bonus. A few injuries and suspensions for the rags is also very welcome if they don't lose

34 minutes well spent there.

I still get goosebumps and can't help but cheer the final goal.

I dozed off after 30 minutes but from what I saw in that time, they just could't break Atletico who were pressing very well.

Play like Bayern last year, like pressing hard and being incisive and quick while attacking and imo, they are ripe for the taking. Milner and Fernandinho would be excellent players against them.

Just watched MotD and thought I'd look at the form table in relation to Swansea. Firstly, I've gotta say that they've had a real tough run of games of late. After playing Norwich away they then went on to play Everton, Chelsea, Villa, us and the Rags. That's some run of games where they only got 1 point away to Villa.

That led me to look at the Rags form as I seem to remember Moyes telling us that they had a tough run as well and even though they are sat 3rd in the table, behind us and Chelsea, the games they've had are risible compared to what others have had to play. Looking at the oppo's form over their last 6 what sticks out like a sore thumb is that 5 of the 6s league form are all down at the bottom of the table whilst the only half decent team they played beat them comfortably (I thought) on their own manor.

Villa - 16th
West Ham -14th
Hull - 15th
Norwich - 19th
Spurs - 4th
Swansea - 20th

What was telling about this game is the pre-match talk that Swansea could possibly get a result at the Swamp. When, in modern footballing history, has the talk been about a team who had not picked up a win in 6, possibly go on to beat the Rags in their back yard?

Whether it was a genuine claim to give Swansea a chance or it was certain elements bigging Swansea up for the purpose of lording the Rags acheivement up afterwards, I don't know, but it is telling that they can even make the ascertion.
