Isn't it amazing now that the story seems to be postive (Toure wants City job for life...) it has been shunted off to the side of the BBC site

One thing I do like is that there's plenty of articles questioning the comments made from the Yaya camp, especially when there's all the proof in the world we did not forget about Yaya's bday.
City simply posted the video and plenty of articles are instead focusing on the ridiculous comments made by his agent, as opposed to City having done wrong, which is what the initial outburst was.

In the end, Yaya's the one who's losing face here. Granted, he might not have said anything at all, it could all have been a ploy of his agent, he has a reputation after all. However, what's really hurting Yaya is that he himself has made no comment.
For such an outburst of this magnitude, why wait? I'd immediately make a statement saying my agent was wrong and that I did not say and feel any of this.

Does anybody know if there is a way of 'hiding' any headlines with 'Yaya' or 'Toure' in from the newsnow City page?

Right, here it is ... direct from the horse's mouth ...

http://www.en.beinsports.net/football/a ... yaya-toure

The link above has a video of the interview he gave exclusively to Bien Sprots in Qatar (where he is with his national team), this is apparently in the last day or so and he does mention his agent and his comments ...

To me, when he mentioned not being recognized and appreciated for his efforts again, I think his gripe is not being named POTY and with English FA, and English media more then City itself, and thus he is OK with (and angling for) a move abroad ...

Bye bye you fool!

I doubt it's hurting Yaya very much at all. He may not have taken much notice of it, as a similar story breaks every year, going back to the Barca days.

I imagine/hope he will never read the comments on any City fan sites & we can just carry on as normal once Demitri Slug has finished with his round of self publicity for the season, & Yaya can continue winning us titles.

He can ask for a pay rise, & a unicorn & threaten a transfer every year for me, provided he gets another 20 goals from midfield.

Two weeks is a long time ... that was right after the title win, the link I posted a few posts back is just yesterday ... he's clearly angling for a move now I am afraid ...

For all we know, Yaya didn't tweet anything at all & finds out about it the day after, & then reads loads of comments from City fans saying 'sell the cunt'.

So often, our fans are ready to jump on one comment & ram it down a player's throat, even without bothering to find out if he said it or not. Demand loyalty from the players but then turn on them as soon as they say something we don't like.

It's exactly the same thing. Loyalty works both ways & most City fans have none for the players, so why expect it back ?

For most, it's just a job & a chance to do what they love doing & have success at it. One or two grow to love the club, like Micah Richrds for example. What great suppot he's had.

Most of the players are not people you would want to go on holiday with, they are hired guns & that's not just at City, it's at Barca, Real, rags, Liverpool; all of them.

If Yaya refuses to play give him some shit. If not, why not just all grow up & see what happens, instead of making it worse ?

Sorry mate I'm not buying it.

With tevez, I said there was two sides to that story.... but yaya's manager, or "dad" as he likes to call him, mouthing off to every news outlet there is. Then yaya's twitter account is "hacked", then yaya says nothing to call the whole thing off?

It's too much. Either he is a fucking moron or he is a disrespectful cunt.

I really can't see how this can be explained away.

Or he's not a reader of internet gossip & doesn't think it's serious.

His agent has now apparently backtracked on just about everything btw & says yaya wants a coaching job at City when he retires & has no offers of deals with other clubs 'as he has a 3 year contract at City'.

So does that make him more or less of a cunt ?

When City fans ask for loyalty, they could actually earn it by giving people the benefit of the doubt in this kind of situation. Many don't, so have no case imo. We are all guilty of this at different times, but this kind of bollocks brings out the worst in us imo.

This agent shite is par for the course in many countries & often in this one nowardays.

sorry ted I think you've got it wrong here. You've tried to put some common sense on the situation which is fair enough. But all yaya had to do was make a statement saying it was all bollocks like any normal person would, he deleted his own tweets or someone did on his behalf and fuelled the bullshit. That thing better call saul posted, pretty much sums up most modern footballers, including yaya.

the real professionals like milner wouldn't do this, but he isn't a global superstar, so he's not big enough to set an example. All that ego and money goes to their head, and they simply forget they are just an employee of a club, regardless of how big or small it is. If yaya came out and just said himself or through his agent he would like a move, yeah we would be pissed off but at least he'd have the balls to say it.

also why can't these dumb cunts just tell their boss in private without shouting it out on twitter or SSN.

people especially now with how prevalent internet and social media don't need to wait to find shit out, bullshit is pretty much found out instantly so no yaya, shouldn't have had some loyalty in this case. He had a chance to shut it down and he didn't. At first it was a big IF, but then he blew his chance.

if he is having peace talks already, he must have seen the internet/media backlash and realised what a complete tool he has been and shat himself. Either way, even if he stays, his credibility has taken a nose dive.

that interview AG posted proves him being a muppet.

That Video could have been shot well before the agentcakegate. Yaya doesn't say he wants to leave he has said what I have heard him say in interviews last year and before, you never know in football, we will see. He doesn't reference his agents quotes and just mentions Dimitri is always on the phone with him.

Let me script his words here ... the video is above for all to see, but most don't like to click on links or can't on phone so here's the text ... word for word ...

[Starts with intro about all these rumors and him being linked with a move away, and his agent's remarks]

Yaya: I think my agent is Dmitri ... we always on the phone ... and he knows what he has to do ... cuz I trust him a lot ... and the main things is ... just, I just try to focus on the worldcup ... and he may know what he have to do ... cuz always, he always ... open everything ... and especially the people are talking about me ... like everything is open in the club now, are talking about me ... and we don't know tomorrow ... but my things is, my focus is the world cup ... and at the end of the world cup we'd see what will happen ...

[Asked about Spain and Barcelona]

Yaya: Yeah ... I tell that ... I tell that in front of the camera ... I tell that in front of the news ... when they, we'll see, maybe I end my career ... one day, away, we'll see, but we never know, because football is going too fast ... and we never knew tomorrow. Because Barcelona was one of my ... always, always been one of my favourite team in the world ... but, I think ... because I was black, it was there, like all of them was like my brothers and friends, you know what I mean ... and ... to be honest with you when I look at TV and when I look at the Spanish teams ... I always view, I always support Barcelona, even in Champions League ... until they play Man City ...

[Asked about POTY]

Yaya: I was a lot of be sad, you know what I mean ... of course Suarez is a striker, is a proper striker ... but some ... sometimes you know, when you are doing things well ... that's why I was talking like them, and to BBC ... we need a, when you're doing some thing WELL ... you need to be appreciated and that as well, you know what I mean ... because we know how it is difficult to be on that level, especially an African ... because when you come from far, you've been a hard worker as well, it adds a lot of bit as a player, you know ... because I always wanted, you know ... but its part of sport, you know ... sometimes you will be, you'll be delighted, happy to win it ... sometimes you'll be sad to not win ...

Really??

He is saying he is focused on WorldCup while his agent is focused on opening up things ... he says, he is 100% with his agent, and whatever he (the agent) does, he is behind him ... he says, there are people talking about him, and at the club too, and yes everything is open ... and we'll see after the worldcup.

What's not clear there? To me, he's angling for a move ... simples!

the problem is, its open to interpretation because he hasn't stated anything in particular about anything. The interview was not an interview and no direct questions were posed.

So if it's so clear to you that it's upto his agent, & that he's angling for a move, why does his agent say he wants to stay on at City AFTER he retires ?

I agree that we should ignore all the tweets. We don't know who tweeted them. The interview is different. Is the post above saying it was before or after all the furore. If after it would have been far better if he'd said I'm concentrating on the World Cup now but we had a great season last season and looking forward to another great season. If before it's not what one likes to hear but is less disappointing. The whole thing's fizzling out now. Yaya's going nowhere and that's all there is to it.
