Diabolical. Can't figure out the worst of a bad bunch. Kolarov was abysmal but Sterling set a new low. A poor signing, he's just not good at all. But the lathargy though, it was dismal.

Terrible today from Pellegrini. Waiting until the last 7 minutes to bring on our only recognized striker, against a team bottom of the league. If this was a Horse Race, there would be a stewards inquiry. mind boggling. Even managed to get the Villa fans unnecessarily up for it bringing on Delph. We have meekly handed out top spot to Arsenal.

What is his obsession with a 3 man midfield. Surely he can be more flexible against shit sides. Even when he belatedly brought Kelechi, he took off Sterling when we need a win.

Agreed. Ian should have been on when Bony left the pitch.

The amount of low crosses Navas put in no one made that killer run. Frustrated to fuck with that. Villa are shit

What annoys me with this result is, we didn't even try to win the game in the first half. Why not???

Yeah we got unlucky in the second, but that happens sometimes. But you can't get unlucky forever. You are much more likely to get unlucky for 45 minutes though than for 90 minutes. So if you don't want to drop points through bad luck, you have to try and win the game from the fucking beginning.

Exactly the same as what happened against West Ham. Terrible first half and had no luck in the second half. But that's our own stupid fault, we shouldn't be putting ourselves into these positions in the first place.

Really disappointing today.

I was screaming for Toure out for Iheanacho at the 60 minute mark.

Hope the Villa thundercunts go down.

Villa played a good game. We had our chances and missed them. The big one being DB's stupid flick. Fans saying its Pelle fault are naive once more as we had 1 fit CF. On to the next cry baby's. .

I don't think our problem today was the lack of a striker. It was being totally lethargic for most the game. It felt like we were perfectly happy to keep the result at 0-0.

but he's a youngster and Pellegrini won't do that, which is stupid. either he's a part of the squad or he's not.

And he left him on the bench, or did you miss that?

Villa were shite but put in a decent first half shift. We looked too leggy and no real cutting edge. Pellers thought he could walk it and that showed in the players.

Poor all around.

Fucking infuriating Kelechi wasn't on earlier. Pellegrini is a complete pussy at times.

He came on and put a cross right on Fernando's head

Well, I’m okay with this result, if not performance. As I said in the Lawro thread, I was afraid of this scenario: ‘Typical City strikes, and having equalled their worst ever run of defeats and gained a new manager, Villa mug us’.

With luck, Spurs will do us a favour and stop Arse going top, but if not it doesn’t matter at this stage of the season, whereas a defeat would have been demoralising. Now we come back from the international break, probably with Silva in the team and Aguero on the bench, after a long unbeaten run, and keen to improve on this performance. Accuse me of lack of ambition if you like, but not every game will be a cracker.

The way Villa played, aggressive to the ball hard tackles, not sure Nacho would have thrived. Yes i would have like for him to come on earlier or even any change and that the only thing i will criticize Pelle for.

Thought Pellers did well apart from leaving ya ya on so long when he was in his stroll about posing mode. He and Fernandinho were total wank as they were against Norwich which always makes life difficult. I think Fernandinho picked up a knock late on Tuesday, he was very lacklustre. But on another day 2-0 to the blues. Interesting without Aguero and Silva, how integral Jesus is to us. Been thinking for a while Ya Ya 's days of being an automatic starter are numbered. Was surprised Villa responded so well to their managers cerebral approach, its given them a chance in that they kept the ball well and closed space. Nice to see Micah get man of the match.

And the biggest over reaction award goes to you sir. Ffs.

You name another 20 year old that has scored and assisted as much as he has this season.

Stupid fucking post

Just a point but I'm amazed that Kola has played so many games on the trot.

I think this too, we've seen it before so many times in games like this. What's the point of upping your game and being amazing against Seville in the CL, if you can't be bothered to up your game and beat Villa?

I think I read somewhere Pelligrini making a comment about how last season when we fell away he had responsibility for letting the side somehow lose their motivation. It's probably my biggest concern with our team. At the start of the season there seemed a real anger about the side and a desire to prove we are the best in the league, and we played incredibly well. Then some days we just look like we don't give a shit, or at least believe it will be very easy to win so we don't need to try too hard. We escaped against Norwich last week and didn't try hard enough in this game to deserve the 3 points, especially in the first half.

I don't know whether in the long run it makes sense to manage the team that way, but it's very frustrating seeing us fall down the table because of it. We have the talent, but so often seem to have something of an attitude problem.

Or maybe I'm just being overly harsh.

I think what is hard is to see how we played midweek to how we played today. Maybe the continuous run of games is taking its toll?

I hop not as we've got an horrendous schedule coming up after the break', basically a game every 4 days.
