Kind of pissed we surrendered top spot in the group to those cunts. Borussia weren't great by any means we just drifted through the game tonight. Piss poor really didn't play with any real purpose and not sure why as it would have been a feather in the cap to top the group ahead of Barcelona.

That said we are through from a tasty enough group with a game left to play, we'd all have settled for that happily enough when the draw was made.

Simple, it does not work with us, with our defenders it is impossible to do that. Also, he looks to have a complex against Borussia away from home, only one win.

Anyway, job done, but I am not pleased.

FFS. We've got the manager we were all wanking over for the last 3 seasons. We're through with a game to spare and yet so many of you are full of doom and gloom. Pep said during the 10 game unbeaten run that this team was far away from winning the Prem never mind the Chumps league and he was right. It will take him at least 2 more transfer windows to get the squad he wants. Pellers took this lot to the semis and then we bottled it - at least give Pep the chance to get us that far. For all you moaning lot, who else would you have in charge? Have faith in Pep - we've waited this long to get him and nobody was moaning when we were linked with him and most of you were creaming your pants at the thought of him taking over 6 months ago - to put it into context look at how Bayern are fareing under Ancelotti (with a better squad than we have) - a lot worse than when Pep managed them, and even Barca are not doing as well as they should in La Liga. Football fans are so fickle. Enjoy the ride. Judge Pep when he has the squad he wants. This one is not fit for his purpose....yet

Where did I say he is not the manager we all wanted and all of that?

I am just pointing out that he had some tactical flops lately and tonight was one of those. Look, he is the best manager in the world, but he is doing some things only someone without any experience would do. Play it safe, you cannot transform Kolarov or Otamendi into Beckenbauer. Play it safe, four on the back until you get who you want at the club, then you can play five up front if that gets us results.

We had what, one clean sheet in the last 13 games? Numbers like that would make Bobby Manc lose his hair. I will stand by our manager no matter what, but he needs to solve some issues that are hot right now.

Job was done, as I said, but please, no more of that shit on the back.

No, he does things that other managers don't have the balls to do, and always has done - something which I will always applaud him for. The same people moaning are the same lot moaning about Pellegrini's tactical rigidity. And if Mancini was that good he'd still be here - do me a fucking favour. Pep is still getting used to the squad he has and as a dynamic manager will experiment with the tools at his disposal until he fully gets to grips with the talent (or lack of) at his disposal. It seems as though many of you thought he would take miraculously turn this squad into world beaters overnight. If this is the case then you're deluded and don't have a clue. There were always going to be ups and downs at the beginning. Accept it and let him do his thing. Some of the knee jerk reactions here are incredulous. Do you realise how ridiculous you sound when you say he is tactically flopping and then in the next breath say he is the best manager in the world? 1 clean sheet in 13 may well make Mancini lose his hair - more to the point, Mancini lost his job here and has hardly been a success since. Pellegrini is now managing a Chinese side. I rest my case. I suppose we could always have got Ancelotti. A distant 2nd in their Chumps league group and 2nd in the Bundesliga

Delighted to be through at all, as two games ago I thought we looked like we might fail.
Stroo about Pep, so far it doesn't look much, if any better than last season. We certainly don't look a title winning side.

Does anyone know what Fernandinho's second booking was for? There was no close-up or slow-motion replay. No remarks by the commentators or pundits (BT Sport or ITV); they all seemed puzzled but just accepted it.

You need to accept people have different opinions than you.

By your logic, Mancini was a poor manager because he is free of any contract and Pellegrini is the same because he is in China. Do you need any video images to see how our defence was under Bobby? I will tell you how, one of the best in the world and we had Lescott and Savic. Savic who is still a calamity at Madrid Being the best manager in the world does not mean he is perfect. No one is. Every manager in the world has his weakness, always had and always will and Pep`s is the fact he is stubborn.

His stubborness is what got him at Bayern and why the fans did not like him.

The reactions here are normal, people are smart, they know when they see a problem. We have a saying, one person tells you that you are drunk, he might be lying, two are saying that, then you have a problem. Same here, we try the same 3 on the back and we won one game. ONE GAME. Stick with 4 in the back. Simple.

Really, what do you expect? Oh, we have Guardiola now, it is forbidden to say anything bad about him. Be serious, no one is saying kick him in the arse and sack him, people are not dumb, everyone is staying behind the manager. He is the one we wanted. But if we are not allowed to point out some mistakes, then we are really fucked.

You want him to have big balls? Fine, let him show his balls when we he has the players that he wants and as I said, he can experience as much as he wants.

@PeterParker, sorry but I have to disagree with you, Pep changed formation at least three times throughout that game last night, stubborn is the last word I'd use to describe him.

Yes, he did, but after he started again with that 3-1-3-3. This is what I mean when I say he is stubborn, he keeps using that formation when it is clear that does not work and he has to change on the way when usually something bad happens, or when we are one goal down.

I'm not overly keen on the 3 at the back but I think a bigger problem last night was Sterling on the left again, it blunts us, he is completely predictable on that side and Navas is nowhere near as effective as him in terms of making things happen on the other side. We saw last night as soon as Sterling went right we start finding space and creating chances and got the equaliser as a result.

Agree with this, nolito instead of navas and I think we'd have been much better.

I don't mind the idea of three at the back, always providing that you've got the 'proper' players who can make this set-up work effectively and, for me, an effective way overall might be to contemplate adopting a 3-3-4 formation; not habitually but for certain games with regard to the opposition.

To this effect, a front four disposition would allow for Raheem on the right, Nolito on the left and a partner alongside Aguero who would be different in style but an effective complement to him and one who would take some of the goal scoring responsibility away from him, to decrease our over-reliance on one player.

The vital area to get absolutely right in such a system would be in midfield and this would have to centre around KDB and probably two more defensive/sitting players.

With regard to the back three, I'm thinking players of the ilk of the Juventus trio : Bonucci, Chiellini and Barzagli.

Just my own two-penceworth and, in the scheme of things, probably a good reason why I would have miserably failed if I'd ever 'taken my coaching badges'.

Because they aren't confident with English?
Maybe the interviewer wasn't shouting loud enough at them. That does the trick doesn't it.
