VAR and the offside rule are being twisted to do things they weren’t designed and are not fitted for. VAR cannot decide the split second on/offside with the current technology and the offside was always meant to punish goal hanging and ping-pong football, not the precise through balls and electric acceleration we see from today’s top players. Even if there was no apparent bias, it would still be ruining the game.
