I thought fuck all of it, but do recall him actually being one of their standout players that day, despite Villa seeing fuck all of the ball. Fast forward to now and it's pretty fucking bonkers how far he's come. I genuinely couldn't be happier for him and the club and I'm excited to see him progress in blue. We are so insanely spoiled by the quality we see every week and have been for years, but it just resonates with me a bit more when we have successful English lads playing in our team.

The only thing I've seen reported in the press is the total he 'could' end up earning (then divided by the years and weeks) saying he was on £380k.

That would mean we would need to win the lot to trigger all his bonuses so we'd all be happy as pigs in shit.

His actual basic will be a lot less than that as we all know we dropped basic wages and made them more incentive based contracts but the scum press don't report the truth around our squads figures etc
