Great to get the win and all of that. But I can't help feeling that we're still very fragile, vulnerable, far too easy to get through.

Badly need fresh blood.

West Ham had 17 shots, so you are correct, insane number.

We need someone in the middle that’s full of energy. We’re so easy to walk through at the moment.

Get used to the shitty side to side passing, it’s going nowhere…

The vast majority feel this way. Most opponents will think they have a good chance of beating us..

I hope opposing teams do feel they have a chance of beating us, if it stops them packing their defences , that's great. Like yesterday an easily constructed movement and savio crosses again for erling to score. No packed defence this time

All the better for city

Pep’s line is that City have always had less physicality and athleticism than other teams and won trophies galore. We do it by wearing down the Opposition through a lot of patience and passing. If we try to do everything quickly we’re playing to other teams strength exposing us to lots of transitions. Defenders never look good chasing backwards against pacy attackers. The team he built can’t compete on physicality and athleticism. If we keep the ball it’s the other team doing the running not us. Fans like up and down football because they find it more exciting but that’s never been City’s style. It may be that bringing in a bit more physicality and athleticism as part of an overhaul would be a good idea though but never at the expense of top quality technique.

Not true. The season we got 100 points we absolutely bombed forward with Sané and Sterling on the wings. There wasn’t this tap tap tap sideways tap tap

We didn’t play up and down matches in the 100 points or any other season. We generally dominated the ball allowing few transitions and shots on goal. Yesterday West Ham had god knows how many shots on goal. That’s not Peps style. A typical City match faced with a deep central block involved a lot of passing and switches of play from left to right and vice versa drawing defenders out of position. Leicester actually had more of the ball than we did which would have been unthinkable in any other season under Pep.

“Transitions” the new buzz word?

You can dominate the ball without sideways sideways tap tap. When you see Haaland making a run play the ball.

Don’t like transitions? Turnover of the ball to the Opposition.

Here’s one of my favourite goals against the scum. Loads of tippy tappy then strike like a cobra with a quick pass to Gundogan as United defenders couldnt cope with the movement. Another excellent example was a goal by Foden against Forest in an FA Cup match. Again loads of passes then Rodri brilliantly sees a run by Walker who sets it up for an excellent finish by Foden. Fans love helter skelter matches with one team bombing down the flanks, breaks down and then the other team has ago. Pep values suffocating and exhausting Oppositions with possession.

Interesting that Pep spoke favourably of left footers playing on the left and right footers playing on the right allowing for quicker crosses.

Sav has been miles better on the left. The constant cutting in when on the right, followed by a shit shot was destroying us

Stupid statement.

Kevin De Bruyne on West Ham’s goal affecting the crowd: “I DON’T KNOW WHY?! I can understand we’re not up to the level, but THEY SHOULD SUPPORT US, the effort is there. We were winning 4-1 so I DON’T UNDERSTAND why this is happening, it’s not like they created a lot of chances…
