Football Media

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

The Liverpool-Sun story is largely being ignored online by Murdoch's filth. All except Sky News which includes this classic quote.

Margaret Aspinall, whose son James died in the disaster, welcomed the decision but told the Liverpool Echo: "I don't want to give that scum any further publicity so have no other comment."

Fair dos. So it did actually happen somewhere in Murdoch's world. And one editor is now looking for a new job.

I wonder what Micky Quinn's take on it is.

Anyone who might need a bit of convincing that there is media bias...

Have a look at the title odds.

Then listen to every media outlet.

City are the second favourites at 11/1.
Spurs are available at 25/1.

Does anyone honestly think that these media cunts would put their money where their mouth is?

Not a fucking chance. They say it and they don't believe it = propaganda.

Watching the Wales-England rugby match just now. What a fantastic game, what fantastic refereeing. At this level rugby is head and shoulders and a mountain peak above the shite that is the PL/FA/PIGMOL/UEFA/FIFA dog's dinner.

Of course it's better from an officiating point of view.

Less room for corruption

Better from every aspect.

Players' conduct.

Commentary.

Generally, much fairer and proper sport where it is one team against the other and both know that the rules will be applies fairly.

As the saying goes, rugby is a game for thugs played by gentlemen, football is a game for gentlemen played by thugs.

But the football media in the UK - whether it is radio, TV or press - is truly, truly, truly the lowest of the lowest gutter shite possible, which is why it is so refreshing to catch a stream from abroad.

'Respect', and if you don't show it, you're educated. That's the difference mate, they've taken the lead, as their game has to be managed properly.

Football in England is at the mercy of Sky and they rule the roost when it comes to decisions as it's all down to affecting the entertainment. My personal opinion is that they are testing video technology already and working out how to keep that WWE atmosphere going; priming.

'Finger to ear', strange decision made.

Job's a good'en.

I take it that's a tweet? For some reason they don't display at all on firefox for me (on two computers). Only way I can tell it's there is if I go to quote the post and scan through it that way.

Is it the same problem with IE & Chrome?

So I've just caught the end of the MOTD repeat as we were up early with the dog.

Gary ends the show by telling everyone the rags are now only two points from the top. The Mrs turns to me and says "oh are they doing well then now under him?" I told her that's why everyone hates United, because they're still in 6th place and there's three other teams above them closer to second, but for some reason MOTD only pick out the rags to mention. Pathetic.

And my TV license is due....they think I'm paying £145 a year to hear that shit?! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Works for me with FF.

And thanks for letting me see how to show tweets on here rather than having to give just the URLs for them!

Strange that the dipper Sun ban has not been mentioned on this morning's Suppository so far.
