Alex Garcia hasn’t had his contract renewed according to a post I saw on Instagram the other day. Shame it didn’t work out for him.

Why is signing a top 5 CB underwhelming?
Probably because it is.? I feel the same and have my doubts that he will cut it in a fast paced league like ours and that is before he tries to get to terms with our high line. I dont doubt that he has done well in Nsples where the pace is slower and everything is in front of him. I hope we have got it right with him as we cannot afford another fucktard at CB
All fair points. And he may flop. But so could any other signing. Id rather we got someone who has been considered great and hope he succeeds rather than someone who isnt as good who also may or may not succeed.
Skriniar rides the bench for Inter now. Diego Carlos looked terrible today. That Dias chap for Benfica plays in the Portuguese league.
What other CB is there?

There are none.
But I would rather gamble with the kid from Leipzing rather than Koulibaly. And all because the first one is young, while the other has 2 maybe 3 years left in him.

I think we are buying Kobs for his leadership and imposing figure as suppose to pace. Kompany wasn't exactly fastest defender out there, but we missed is leadership and figurehead.

Hes made of paper mache and hes a horrible little cunt - I wouldn't have him on a free and wouldn't pay him more than a curly wurly a week if he did come on a free.

Agree with all of that, just dont understand how some people can be happy not fulfilling their potential. I know he's had injury problems but doesn't excuse it. Still, daresay he has more in the bank than me

He made his name playing in Sarri's high line.

Yes, in Italy with everything in front of him in a chess game league. As someone else mentioned, earlier above, ir may be his leadership skills and presence that we need more let's hope that he brings that as it is certainly missing from us

Let’s be honest here - anyone we bring in will be an upgrade on what we currently have.

Would not surprise me as Angelino pisses all over Mendy for getting crosses into the box and is a better footballer - hes slated because his defending is not great but with some real thought on tactics his side of defense can be protected by other players when he sprints down that left hand side of the pitch -
He has been unfairly judged at City IMO.

Correct. Mendy was given the excuse that he didn’t have Laporte next to him this season when he played. But that excuse can’t be used for Angelino?

There are many Mendy apologists around Mase - all his faults are down to his injury apparently- so he gets away with murder .
He’s fucking shit and we paid 50 odd million for this particular brand of shit - not forgetting how massive salary ontop of that .
Criminal .

I would keep Angelino and get rid of Mendy and Zinch, to be honest.

Mendy isn't going anywhere
In a choice between Zinch or Angelino, then Angelino surely gets the nod

I’ve seen a lot better performances at left back from since than I have angelino so your choice perplexes me a bit
