Unfortunately for us, they got the handball by Gallas completely wrong. It was a definite penalty. The foul on Zab wasn't so clearcut, but could have been an indirect free kick for obstruction.

The offside calls by the linesmen were correct and in the first half we were acting like idiots - just giving away needless free kicks with stupid fouls (giving Spurs their only chance of scoring). We only had ourselves to blame. Fortunately, at half time the players seemed to calm down and we played our normal game in the second half and took control.

I'm not sure why there were 5 minutes of added time, although Friedel had been wasting time ever since they went 1-0 up.

Overall, I thought the officials got most things correct, but I'm sure the ref will be disappointed by getting the handball penalty wrong.

This. Oliver is a decent ref. We were acting like cunts in the 1st half.

Not decent enough to know the basic laws of the game though? Head injury - stop play straight away.

Think Oliver is rapidly getting on par with Howie Webb: either as best British referee (technically wise) and as Taggart's arse licker.
Bound to a superb career.

Plenty of love around for edin.
Did you ever notice some stick on English breed and born defender, just to mention.
What about the sticks which get Yaya? despite almost winning the FA CUP alone and the all important game at St. James's last season???
it emotional flowing internet. WE DO CARE OF MANCITY SUCCESS. only.

also, as much as I proposed Edin in my last 3 personal starting lineups, it's fair to say that we have two different Edin Dzeko, so far this season.
Edin starter = little effectiveness.
Edin impact sub = top notch. perhaps worn opposition helps. just saying

BLA BLA BLA we all know who is most undereted striker in PL so my wish is him to play why is that strange , i want him to play because he is good not to go 13 min if we losing game

Don't bother Mancio. It's clear everyone on the board likes Edin. We all want him to do well, and when he comes on as a sub he is superb. Unfortunately, he's not always as good when he starts. We're not picking on him, that's just a fact.

Palus - you cannot wonder why people get annoyed with you when you make comments like this after an excellent win. I don't understand why you still post on here when you're clearly not wanted. Please kindly fuck off and talk on a forum where Dzeko is the only topic of conversation.[/quote]

That is so sorry i must ay stupid when u read that , so hes goals in Germany dont count and course he play one bad game and hes next three on bench , striker needs a flow of games , Ballo did not score a goal yet u know if that was Edin wow he would be gone by now, give him two in row three hes earn that we would be 12 points behaind if he did not do it what he did and why other clubs wont to buy him to be a supersub , Bob do not know to use him , so its better for City buy Falcao sell Edin.I do not know what is wrong there to sell player u use only sometimes , when we are in trouble.

Just finished watching the game (had to record it today). That was a nerve wrecking, but very well deserved victory. Thank god for Edin Dzeko ;-)

By the way, what was the extra minute of injury time for? The sign said 5 minutes, but the ref added 6.

I'm gonna watch it later again as I as well was so bloody nervous I couldn't really enjoy some of the quality play we produced.

No idea where the added minute was coming! Time for Conspiracy theories??

I don't care what he did in Germany. The reality is when he starts for City he doesn't perform as well as he does when he comes on as a sub. So in that context, Mancini is using him correctly. That's generally the debate on here. I'd say almost all City fans like Dzeko and want him to do well, but you are completely unable to have a reasonable debate if someone isn't constantly praising him.

This is my last ever post in response to you. Despite your claims, you are NOT a City fan and never will be. I don't understand why you don't leave this forum and set up your own forum where only Dzeko is discussed, and only good things are said about him. Your obsession with him is weird, there's no other way to describe it.

I think he added the sixth one due to the fact that first minute was used by Spurs to put a sub on.

Well done to the Blues, we proved ourselves referee-proof once again (and what a bent bastard we had today). And great to see plan B (i.e., Maicon) work against the diving turds from North London. Onwards and upwards....

Listening to some of the press reports I thought that I'd seen the wrong game. Luckily, those nice people at Sky confirmed I was right by the way of their stats. Not one offside for them, just shows what sort of game they were playing.
