So if it's so clear to you that it's upto his agent, & that he's angling for a move, why does his agent say he wants to stay on at City AFTER he retires ?
Because AG7 won't have 18 threads to start if he stays.
Cheers

Let me script his words here ... the video is above for all to see, but most don't like to click on links or can't on phone so here's the text ... word for word ...
[Starts with intro about all these rumors and him being linked with a move away, and his agent's remarks]
Yaya: I think my agent is Dmitri ... we always on the phone ... and he knows what he has to do ... cuz I trust him a lot ... and the main things is ... just, I just try to focus on the worldcup ... and he may know what he have to do ... cuz always, he always ... open everything ... and especially the people are talking about me ... like everything is open in the club now, are talking about me ... and we don't know tomorrow ... but my things is, my focus is the world cup ... and at the end of the world cup we'd see what will happen ...
[Asked about Spain and Barcelona]
Yaya: Yeah ... I tell that ... I tell that in front of the camera ... I tell that in front of the news ... when they, we'll see, maybe I end my career ... one day, away, we'll see, but we never know, because football is going too fast ... and we never knew tomorrow. Because Barcelona was one of my ... always, always been one of my favourite team in the world ... but, I think ... because I was black, it was there, like all of them was like my brothers and friends, you know what I mean ... and ... to be honest with you when I look at TV and when I look at the Spanish teams ... I always view, I always support Barcelona, even in Champions League ... until they play Man City ...
[Asked about POTY]
Yaya: I was a lot of be sad, you know what I mean ... of course Suarez is a striker, is a proper striker ... but some ... sometimes you know, when you are doing things well ... that's why I was talking like them, and to BBC ... we need a, when you're doing some thing WELL ... you need to be appreciated and that as well, you know what I mean ... because we know how it is difficult to be on that level, especially an African ... because when you come from far, you've been a hard worker as well, it adds a lot of bit as a player, you know ... because I always wanted, you know ... but its part of sport, you know ... sometimes you will be, you'll be delighted, happy to win it ... sometimes you'll be sad to not win ...

Two weeks is a long time ... that was right after the title win, the link I posted a few posts back is just yesterday ... he's clearly angling for a move now I am afraid ...

AG7 wrote:I think Yaya and his agent spoke post title and wanted to see the market ... Yaya probably showed his frustration on not winning the POTY and the agent obviously makes more money when Yaya signs a new deal or moves so jumped on his frustration with English FA and not getting POTY and instead came out with those stupid Birthday snub (which never were) kind of ill-advised quotes ...
City probably have told him internally, that with three years left, and his great season ... they'd listen to offers in excess of £45-50m only ... and then agent tried to angle it to Barca and maybe even PSG who all told him to fuck off, they won't pay that ££ for a 31 year old, especially who likes to walk around like zombies in some games when he is not up for it ...
So agent now goes and backtracks knowing a sale won't happen, clearly City won't sell for £15-20m and there are no takers out there for £40-50m ... so he then tries to save his own face and comes with even stupider comments re: Yaya would like to be offered a coaching role (if I was a player, I'd hate those associated with me at 31, maybe when I am 35 but at 31 your agent talking about your retirement is very very ill-advised) ...
The Yaya interview is in between his agent's not happy (birthday) remarks and these new post-playing coaching role remarks ...
Yes, now it all will fizzle out into the worldcup now ... and then will resurface post-world cup (actually will stay with us till the transfer deadline day unfortunately) ... but in all this Yaya has come out looking like an idiot ... and have certainly lost some respect among City fanbase ...
Ted Hughes wrote:I doubt it's hurting Yaya very much at all. He may not have taken much notice of it, as a similar story breaks every year, going back to the Barca days.
I imagine/hope he will never read the comments on any City fan sites & we can just carry on as normal once Demitri Slug has finished with his round of self publicity for the season, & Yaya can continue winning us titles.
He can ask for a pay rise, & a unicorn & threaten a transfer every year for me, provided he gets another 20 goals from midfield.

I think you've just made all that up & have no idea one way or the other.

Ted Hughes wrote:A load of nonsense! Harry Redknapp wades into Yaya Toure birthday snub
HARRY REDKNAPP has branded Manchester City star Yaya Toure's birthday row as a 'load of nonsense'.
The Ivory Coast midfielder was left upset by his owners after a perceived lack of respect shown to him by his employers.
The 31-year-old recently lifted his second title in three seasons with the Citizens, but put himself in the shop window and has threatened to leave the Etihad.
A cluster of European clubs including Barcelona, Monaco and PSG have been linked, and his agent, Dimitri Seluk, said the player is now seeking reassurances that he will have a "job for life" at City.
Redknapp, who is preparing his side for their Championship play-off final against Derby, brushed off the episode.
"At my age, you don't want to be reminded about your birthday!," Redknapp said jovially.
"I've never known when a player's birthday. It's a family thing. Birthdays are for family.
"What a load of nonsense."

We cannot be seen to negotiate with ego's making demands because they are thinking they are bigger then the club. Put him out to auction, Buy it Now £50m, nobody stumps, up, Yaya stays, no italian loan deals or any shit like that, we play hardball.
