Didnt he say something about loyalty and Villa being his club?

Not in his quoted statement. Sorry, I can't attach the thing here. He simply said he was staying and wanted to avoid the intense speculation. He did say he would be at Villa next season to captain a great club. But he did nt mention loyalty at all and his comments were simply a statement. It was nt him giving any specifics as to why he had a change of mind. When I originally read it I posted on here that I had a suspicion he had failed a medical as his statement was lacking any explanation

Villa have a game tonight... i'd imagine the press are going to have fun with Sherwood at the presser.

Joe Kinnear level cunt i'm hoping.

Sherwood got this job because it's a fucking fire sale and no one credible wanted this craptastic gig. I don't like his face. Sorry.

Both.

Statistically he bested Ferna last season.... and Fernando... well he never really got out of the blocks. It's good for both to have competition though.

Theirs and Nasri's i'd suggest.

He's a versatile fucker. Bald. Skinny Jeans. Checks a lot of boxes for me.

cheers

It's quite possible one of these may move on now. Personally, I think Fern 1 has been a great signing but Fernando showed little last season. However, given Fern 1's age and Yaya's it will probably be Fernando who is retained if MP still believes in him.

Thanks for the replies. I mean, my hunch would be that the signing of Delph means the exit of Fernandinho, perhaps not this season but at least the next, but I have no idea how Delph plays besides a few youtube clips. In them, he looks nothing like the type of player Fernando is, which is what leaves me puzzled. Ferna1 came back after having a lazy, confused stunt double for about 1 season in total, why change what's not broken? I guess it's the English thing, homegrown I mean.

I can't wear skinny jeans any more. It looks like my back is exploding through the waist line. I need a support group for this, where I can share this experience with other who have been through the same thing.

I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

i have no idea what you're talking about. I've been wearing skinny jeans for nearly 15 years with no issues whatsoever....sometimes they mislabel them as "wide leg" and such, but manufacturers make mistakes.

Mickey "am I a Scouser or a Geordie" Quinn on Talksport refusing to believe that Delph is singing on the same terms, he is trying to shoehorn the big wages angle into the argument with the Villa fans phoning in.

There seems to be some doubt about him having done a medical last week. One supposed ITK on BM (Pollerz) is saying he was booked in to do it on the Saturday, stayed over on the Friday but didn't turn up for the medical!

The whole thing is weird no matter what the truth of it is. Can't wait for the soundbites to start.

I think this may mean Pogba is not coming. Which is a pity if that's what's changed his mind.

Wilshere might be a massive knob, but a peado? I wouldn't go that far.

I was more thinking of the focus lying more on the superstar lifestyle than on the actual playing of football.

How many times has he been caught smoking now? Reminds me alot of Johnsons sudden taste for glamour models and the nightlife after he did well for a few months at City and was called up to the national team.

Now he is in a mid to lower table club doing bang on average at best.

I said I didn't like his hair. But now I might take a shine to it!

Think any further move with this after signing Sterling is purely down to the home grown quotas. From what I hear the lad does give his all so maybe useful as an impact player from the subs bench when other teams are tiring.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

i don't believe Pogba is coming. i think he's nailed on for those illegal cunts at Barca. They're going to fucking cheat their way into it. Sign him now and loan him back to Juve until Jan.

Absolutely nailed on imho.

Heard some interesting news today. So, Juventus said that Pogba is not for sale, this morning. At lunch, we see Delph arriving here, plus PSG said that Pogba is a closed deal for them.

The rumour is that he is going to UEFAlona in january or next summer. That is why he is staying now.

Or sign an agreement to buy in in January possibly with some kind of financial 'deposit' for the inconvenience, which their legal team would bend over backwards to tell you is something different but which anyone with an ounce of common sense (plus you and me) would know is the same thing.

I wonder if bringing him on allows us to move Fern2 on and create an extra place for a foreign star. Just a thought.

Despite the media obsession with u-turns, there's nothing wrong with changing your mind if you've made a bad decision. I wish politicians did it more often instead of insisting they were right as it all goes down the pan.

Just do long as he sign and doesn't change his mind again.

Whatever else is happening this transfer has nothing to do with whether Pogba comes or not. The fact that Vidal is going to Barcelona, however, is a probable indication that he's staying at Juventus this window. If Laporta wins tomorrow he'll bust a gut to get him next summer. Even if Bartomeu wins he will also likely make him top priority. If we are really prepared to bust the bank Juventus might crack knowing they will get much less from Barca next year. The player clearly wants Barca and might accept a tad less from them than from anyone else. Let's face it if we lose to Barca it's no disgrace.
