Obviously missed Sterling's brilliant performance against Valencia.

It was never going to be a stroll in the park after a CL game away and Villa psyched at least somewhat with a new manager. We've coped brilliantly without Silva and Aguero but this was one game too far. Even so in second gear we had the chances to win. Just didn't take them. Clearly should have had a penalty as well. It's not a disaster.

Not a great result but it's November and plenty to play for in the coming months. Another clean sheet and another game chalked off without our two best players. Motoring in the champs league and top of the prem, a lot to be happy about. Arse will drop points along the way as they always do.

And the biggest over reaction award goes to you sir. Ffs.

You name another 20 year old that has scored and assisted as much as he has this season.

Stupid fucking post

Agreed.

Shit finishing today. Coulda woulda shoulda kinda day.

Bright spots:

Navas.
Otamendi.
Ferns.

I can't figure out why but we could have played that side today for another 90 minutes and never scored. Lucky to escape with a point despite how much we battered them Second half. That happens. Ess football.

And no Bony being injured isn't a bright spot for me. Quite the opposite obvs.

Agreed. We put in a tired performance v Norwich also but got home in the end. I think this group of players have done well over the last month or so. There have been too many injuries to give many a rest.

We were far too slow but have to say think teams are sitting in against us more than ever before. Villa made zero effort push out and when they did we had chances we should have buried. We are a great team and opposition know it. We need Aguero and Silva back up and running then give few a break who need one. Worried for Bony , occasionally get a player who is unlucky and it doesn't pan out. Anyway hopefully Liverpool come at us

I agree, i don't think this will be the push over some are predicting as they will want to put on a good show for their new manager, having said that i cannot see us losing having watched the midweek game.

As I said during the game, I think we lost two points before the first half of hour of the game, when Pellers showed no guts, nothing. 9 from 10 managers, would had used Nacho. I am a huge fan of Pellers, love the Count to bits, but he is not a manager that will help our kids grown.

Again, the move with Delph was nonsense. Did he even touch the ball? Villa is a poor team and we should had won here, no doubt. Maybe we had the Champions Cup Hangover, but I am prepared to bet that we would had won if Nacho played from that point. The experiment with Tin Tin as a forward worked once, with Sevilla, this does not mean it can work every single time.

PS: Yaya has no attitude, nothing while Sterling thinks he is still at Scouse. Stop diving you prick! It was contact, but you will never get a peno with us, you need to break your leg at City for a fucking ref to give you that.

PPS: I hope Villa will relegate. Fucking Clowns and I hope Gestede will end up in a Kebab Store, mopping the floors.

Pelligrini at fault for me today. Would of thrown on nacho at the 60 mark when the game started opening up. Could see KDB was frustrated when moved over to the left and the game largely passed him by with all the play coming down the right. The otter was motm for me, has settled in really well.

I'm with you Spidey. I can sort of understand leaving Nacho till later in the game but for the last 6 minutes? He shouldve been on instead of Delph, giving an attacking presence rather than adding yet another defensively mixed player. Also, why bring Delph on when you know he's going to give the crowd a chance to vent and lift the spirit of the players, who certainly picked it up a notch or two after his inclusion.

Most know that I'm not up for bringing the youth through before their time but when your only option for a striker is a player who's actually had a run out, and played well, it's a no brainer. And if anything, get Sterling in there and allow De Bruyne to do his thing.

We had chances, we could have won, we move on.

Agree about Nacho and the thing is, if you're gonna have midfielders on you have to be clear about who is gonna do what. We for example had noone running at Guzan when he dallied with the ball, everyone just walked upfield and let him pick the pace of the game apart. Infuriated me that.

We created enough chances today whilst not playing particularly well.It was a good performance in Seville

Still my argument is, if a recognized striker had been on the pitch to finish one of those chances, we might have won that game. He goes from being obsessive about a 4-4-2, to playing a 4-6-0 for over an hour. We then fail to score. It made no sense to me. playing a side at the bottom of the league. We were not playing Real Madrid or Barcelona

Bony looks like he has done his ham string, Chances are Kelechi will need to be starting against Liverpool being our only fully fit recognized striker. Why not bring the lad on as straight swap for Bony, boost the lads confidence before a big game against Liverpool. Instead he brings on Navas, who ironically put some great crosses in to the area, a striker would have finished. I cant comprehend why we played so long without a recognized striker, then bemoan the fact we didn't finish any of our chances. He missed an opportunity to show some faith in the young lad and boost his confidence today.

I had absolutely nowt against Villa but that sort of shit fucks me right off, especially when we kicked the ball out to allow treatment. The cunt was even following it up to put Joe under pressure. Now though, I'd like to see the desperate bastards relegated. They've been shit for years and don't deserve to be in the PL.

I can only imagine what Nacho was thinking.

'Fuck, here we go, I'm on!'

'Oh, wait, he's not called me, wtf, I'm the only striker?'

'Ah well, noit in the CL squad, not trusted to be given 70 mins, at least I might get a call for the EDS, surely they'll trust me to play?'

Not much of a confidence booster but there may be mitigating circumstances that only the coaches would know.

Same here. Was sort of defending their fans booing Delph but after what Gestede did and that Villa didn't own up to it and simply passed the corner back to us sealed it for me. Add their constant booing of Barry although he did nothing wrong and I hope they go down.

The thing is though, if they play like they did today, they will start collecting points. As much as errors can be pointed out in City's performance, take nothing away from them. Set up well, played for a point and got it. Their first one in 8 games.

It wasn't just the ref. Sagna had a throw to Sterling and the linesman gave offside, before realising you can't be offside for a throw and pretending he gave it for a foul throw, then suggesting it shouldn't have been our throw in the first place. Cheating bastards!

I thought the ref gave them everything, and that incident proved it wasn't just me thinking it. It's as if they need to slow us down just to give the Rags a chance.
