I've been watching some hihglights from 13-14 to see what we're missing that we did right back then and that combination we just tried, we did them all the time. It feels like I can't watch a highlight from that season without seeing at least one goal stemming from intricate, vertical passing into the oppo's penalty area. THat's how good we were.
Also noted that we had fullbacks, especially Zaba, in the opposition's penalty area time and time again. Why don't we do that anymore?

I think he was trying not to be a pussy. Just wanted a replacement on.

Delph and Zabba were very good, Yaya made an instant difference when he came on but I would have preferred Nach to stay on and Fernando to go. I thought he was poor again as was KDB. Nobody was getting their foot on the ball and controlling the midfield. Fortunately that changed with Yaya coming on.
Palace looked pretty and maybe deserved a little more for their enterprise, they were always a threat from set pieces.
And we got away with a good handball penalty shout. Dann is still a dirty twat.

Agree with some of that. Struggling big time in that first half and Palace must have felt really hard done to to be losing at all never mind 2 down. Well done to Delph for having a go and striking it so well even if the keeper should have saved it. And then another fortunate goal with the deflection.
Even 2nd half we didnt start great but well done Pellers for making the change. I was very disappointed to see Kelechi as the one going off when Silva and KDB were so anonymous but it was right to bring someone else into midfield. It couldnt be either Delph or Fern for me as both were playing very well so he took the easy option with Kelechi.
The change and maybe Yaya himself made all the difference and we strolled it from there with 2 great goals. Great to see zaba back and playing well. Well done to Clichy also as sub as I thought he was very good too.

You need your big players to turn up for big games, cans so far, in the main, he hasn't.

A player who delivers in 4/5 games and turns those from draws to wins are worth their weight in gold even if they go missing in big games. you just need a manager who has the balls to drop them for the big games tor that reason.

It's hard to argue with that. His contribution isn't to be sniffed at. But he is frustrating, particularly away from home.
It's a dilemma.

Delph is a decent player. Nice to see him play, and play well. Ian was a nuisance for Palace in the first half and showed some good link up play with Silva and Sergio. Nice to see Zaba back and looking fairly decent.
I though Kolarov was brilliant as usual in the first half. Any news on what happened to him? I'm worried.
I think he broke s fingernail. They couldn't find a nail file on the sideline. What s mix up.
You've either typed that with cold hands or your pissed :P which one is it IWT?
