Fern injured. What was the fucking point on bringing him on when the game was won

Probably to get minutes in his legs but, personally, I’m not too bothered about a small knock that keeps him out As I don’t think he’s what we should be looking for going for award.

His exclusion will be to our benefit. He can do the job on the side.

Crazy comment when you realise he’s still our best player in his position

Especially when Pep reckons 4-6 weeks out.

It maybe crazy but it’s one that I can quantify. I don’t want to see Fern out with injury, I want him there to help the team but I’m not quite sure chopping and changing him will help our season, I’d much prefer him being proactive in the background, leading the troops in other ways.

Blues complained about the recent Fern/Rodri pivot, whereas I thought it was a good call considering our defensive woes. It was only afterwards that I thought that it does stifle our attacking challenge and gives the like of Rodri a hiding place when he needs to step-up.

I don’t want to see any of our players injured but once they are, an objective view must be taken an the opportunities of such an issue embraced.
