Someone said, “Gabriel Jesus was threatened with having to play for Arsenal so he put in a 10/10 performance”

I think every single one of us will be losing sleep between now and Tuesday evening over Pep's team selection/set up

Sadly he has absolutely no idea of the mental anguish he causes us all.

Poor Peter, we are still top of the Prem and competing AGAIN in the CL semis. and you are still worried.

I think it's fukking wonderful and am happy as fuck that we have got this far.
I watch City and think. we could be the best team in England and the best team in Europe in a few weeks...how good would that be?
And you....worry?

I worry. I think beating Watford masked a number of glaring concerns. How many times did they get at our defence? They are a crap side and got in plenty of good positions. City are way off where they were in previous title winning campaigns, way off. It's how I see it and I hope to be wrong.

They played at Anfield the other week and got in better positions. 2 one on one's that they blew. We rested major players yesterday then took other main ones off with plenty of time to spare. That's what's needed at this stage of the season.

5 games in 13 days after the Watford match with a hard CL semi against one of Europe's best teams in Real arriving in a couple of days time.
Of those 5 games, 2 were against the 2nd best team in the Prem and 2 were against a very good Atleti. 1 game in particular was very intense, physycally and mentally draining with little or no recovery time. Physical and mental fatigue plus injuries and knocks, lack of recovery time coupled with lack of game preparation time.
Personally, I am more than impressed that some of our players are still standing, let alone playing at the level they are. I think it wholly reasonable that form may have dipped a tad. But it hasn't dipped to a point that City are aren't still winning, scoring goals and picking up the points. As well as being able to keep pace with the dippers and keep the pressure on them.

No team in the Prem is a shit team, some may be better than others but every team offers a challenge and a threat. I expect all teams to create opportunities aginst City, but the table shows that we have the best record in the league at stopping teams from turning those opportunities into goals. City 21 goals aginst, Dippers 22, Chavs 26, Arse 40, Spurs 38, rags 51, WHY 43 and Wolves 38. Glaring concerns....I don't think so. we are the hardest team this season to score against, and remember we are an attacking team that doesn't pack our defence or park the bus.

It would be unreasonable to expect that the same players could continue in the run in without rest and wholly reasonable for the coach to rotate the squad to maximise players' energy levels. Don't forget that Pep has access to our medicos reports that this player or that player has this or that level and this or that player needs a break in order to stop muscle fatigie or injury.

We are doing well under very stressful circumstances, we are still in there competing for the top 2 titles. and we are coping very well.

Consider too that we are doing so without a dedicated striker of any significant note.

Lovely day yesterday and a nice relaxed buzz around MCR city center and the Etihad. Not a fucking rag in sight in the city Center bars and pubs never never experienced this situation before they have disappeared off the face of the earth , not even a scrotey little twat wearing a rag shirt anywhere incredible times indeed the City is well and truly ours .
Something that our oversees supporters on here may know something about , lots of American MCFC fans were in the Etihad yesterday flew over especially for the game not seen that many numbers before . Anyway they have a decent sense humour and joined in the Mancunian craic !
