That's called something like guts, bottle or winning mentality.

Pep says Walker Stones and Dias out till the end of the season. I guess Fernandinho will play CB against Wolves. He could play Ake but it means two left footed CBs. It’s bad news but the good news is we’re nearly there. I’m convinced a win at Wolves and we’ll be ok.

The only thing Carragher said that was true was we should stay well clear of Pogba

Unbelievable how Micah and Redknapp would take him in a heartbeat. Who would we drop for him?

A non story if ever there was one

Bit of a dilemma for the old square head, does he go balls out for the league, playing his first team and risking injury/fatigue? Or write it off and for the cups?

A CB with only one foot would be better than playing Fern, this left foot CB thing is utter nonsense

Well he chose Fernandinho today who played very well. The way we play putting say Laporte on the Right means the press will be on to make him use his right foot on which he’s much much less comfortable. I don’t think it’s bollocks.

Stones is pathetic. Shouldn’t get a medal if we win.

Ake possibly out for Wednesday but could be fit for the last two matches. Very unlucky to hit by injuries in the same position.

Interesting

Mentioned just that in the OP HDS. We put a marker down today and they know it. The pundits in the Sky studio after the game knew it. I don’t think Klipperty rests a lot of players because it isn’t over till it’s over. But he will be conscious they will have played every game available this season and won’t want burnout in the two finals. Ending the year with one pot would be a disaster for them so he will surely prioritise the cups over the PL based on percentages of winning the things

Interesting point will he leave out a few against Villa because of the Cup Final? If they drop points on Tuesday that’s pretty well it for the PL title though.

Ake was on the bench today, he'll play on Wednesday for sure - would have come on if we weren't two up when Dias was taken off.

When Gobber asked whether Pep will be considered a failure if he doesn’t win the CL with City I would offer these two replies…….do you think Pep is a failure if he wins 4 out of the last 5 PL’s (assuming he wins this one) and I would also say that Liverpool shouldn’t be in the CL because they’re not champions!!! If you rename it European runners up league then fair enough.
So far Pep is a failure in CL because he hasn’t won it, if he doesn’t win it with City he will be considered a failure in the CL only, like he was with Bayern. Pundits, most of whom tend to be reds, cannot bring themselves to admit that City are the best side ever in the PL and the only argument they have left is the CL which frankly has absolutely nothing to do with it. It’s a cup competition, everyone knows we are plenty good enough to win it but there are many factors to get there. Whereas there is absolutely no argument over 38 games….the team that wins it is the team that deserves it. Nobody but us has won the domestic treble or achieved a 100 points in a season…..end of discussion. Gobber, fuck off you horrible and bitter cunt.

FWIW Pep said he wasn’t sure Ake could make Wednesday. I suppose Rodri could play RCB with Bernardo or Gundogan playing deeper in midfield.
