Not yet. But I think he will be.

Lol I been saying it all season. Akanji is decent reserve, lacks leadership. Ffs he wasn't even in Dortmund first 11. He did well, no way he's better than Laporte or Dias

Rodri given MOTM. Really bounced back. Kevin was excellent. Laporte also. Bernardo never stopped running. I’m guessing Ake will come in on Wednesday.

After our recent travails, it sounds mad that we are only behind Brentford in the form table and if Villa had won, they would’ve been second.

Definitely needed that and only looked dodgy following the changes. Minutes in Dias’ legs and probably right to take him off following the soft yellow card. Rodri superb, Kev looked better and we seemed to have much more control and created chances with the extra technical play from Bernardo and Gundogan. Restricted them to 2 shots on target, shame that Eddie is woeful on shots like that but got to take that he gives us something better elsewhere.

Took our foot off the gas a little which allowed them in.

Alverez will be fine. Akanji isn’t as good as I first thought though. Decent backup.

Akanji, for me, has been one of our better performing defenders in a season where we’ve had huge disruption with injuries right across the back, sometimes having 3 of our first choice players out at the same time.

Pep is definitely looking at the long game for our back 4, allowing them a little extra time and not rushing them back. Let’s see if this pays off with our best defensive partnerships ramping up for the run-in.

Alvarez was never meant to come in and be a world beater this season. There was even talk about him being loand out. If he hadn't had the WC he had, we would all be happy for him to slowly grow into the team and the league.

I agree. He’s got plenty of time on his side. It’s just a bonus that he’s done well so quickly.

Apparently we have been lacklustre this season and Arsenal outstanding

Yet if we beat them on Wednesday we go top. More cutting edge punditry from ratboy

to be fair ratboy is right. we haven't really fired this season

We have been below par this season. I have been very vocal about that. No question about ut IMO. But for Ratboy to then say another team has been outstanding, when if we win on Wednesday we go top, then it doesn't add up.

Given thar we have been below par this season, what does it say about the league, no wonder they want us banned.
