Embarrasing. As many mentioned, he is a game away from a proper meltdown.

Sad scenes to see.

It’s so weird. HE was the one that chose to play Ortega. Fair enough if he should have saved the goal or his distribution was shite - tell him in the changing rooms?

That was way OTT in my opinion

If I was a player and he did that to me in public Id lamp him one.

I’d just start crying and see what he did

Oh please, let's give it a rest.

We have good defenders apart from Akanji and Walker this season.

Pep doesn't know how to set defenders up, We need a solid DM to cover for the way Pep plays. Wasting more money on defenders will not solve our problem for this season.

Gundo is exposing our defence, this is on Pep for presisting with him.

What was the point on doing that into the pitch? Hugging then shouting at him like a bipolar person.

Cannot argue with this other than the glaringly obvious Pep only has one plan and is a stubborn bar steward who cannot or more likely, wont change the formation to protect us.

It’s a fact we cannot close a game out. No Rodri, no real control of the ball, the flow of the game. If Pep cannot see that, I don’t know what to say. Morgan Gibbs White and Douglas Luiz PEP, it’s that simple open your mind man !!!!!!

I chatted with a blue this morning, he said keepers are average, only 1 centre half is reliable and centre mid is non existent, the spine is gone…..

Watching the Brentford game(& others before) Ortega's distribution is shite in the main. Puts us under pressure when we are being pressed and when he came flying out into no-mans land, I thought Eddy was back in goal. Be surprised if a new no.1 is not on the summer shopping list. DM was a requirement from last season & more so now, either of the two you mention would more than fill that gap and we could move Rodders up the pitch so they wouldn't need to come to play deputy for him. Still hoping we have someone lined up but more in hope as time drags on.

I don't get the Ortega hype. His distribution is ok but every time he found Haaland it was always with Haaland facing him and the ball wrong side of him with a defender up his arse. Never plays it over the defender for Haaland to run on to like Ed.
He's terrible at crosses, doesn't command his box- like you say he nearly gave a goal away rushing off his line and there's no way Ed lets their equaliser in.
He's made a couple of great saves, forever grateful for the Son save last season but he's definitely a Number 2.

Not for me, thanks for the memories, but I want a proper gk who can actually save. We will be ok without the distribution.
I would forever be grateful that was Lukaku in front of him and not anyone else in the final.

As long as we have Pep, we will not be 'ok' without the distribution as we are seeing with Ortega. Pep has one vision and that starts with his keeper. Expect incoming keeper in the summer. Ed has seen his arse after being dropped and Ortega is a no.2

Would have thought City fans at least would understand Pep wasnt having a go at Ortega , he was praising him. Even if he does do it in a manic way.

Could say you're grateful it was Son and not anyone else. I suspect Lukaku has scored more.

Well it is time to change that because everyone who has half a brain as a manager knows how to stop that vision.
I can go with the vision, but buy someone who is like Neuer, someone who is a proper world class keeper first, then good with his feet.

Can't be that easy to stop the vision or we wouldn't have won 6 titles in 7 years with Ederson playing practically every game.
I know we're struggling now but no need to rewrite history.

No one is rewriting history, but if something does not work anymore we don't need to do it because it worked.

Palace away the cup final!!!!!! Good back IMO. If we bring in a keeper it will lead to needing 2.

we don't want to adapt by going backwards - if we feel Eddy is going stale we need to get the next up and coming keeper with his skill set who can become even better than him
