To be fair to Mancini, he was right to field a weakened side tonight, because it will be a long season.
And also he needed to see how his fringe players were going to perform, and whether he could ease any of them into key league games.

But I think we can safely say after tonight that Bridge is for the exit door, the sooner the better.
And SWP should be out by the Summer

Given is back to bench-warmer, from Saturday on, for an indefinite period, no matter how much he sulks.
Boyata needs to have his confidence rebuilt, perhaps in FA Cup games, and in substitute right back appearances.
(but no starting spot until he's rebuilt his confidence with a run of solid substitute performances)
