Just thought of this, was'nt Blackburn just sold for like 23m recently? And Liverpool for 200m. By that standard Torres is worth 25% of the whole club and about 2x the worth of Blackburn as a club.

Crazy that isn't it. Anyone know what thaiksin paid for us?

He probably is worth around 25% of their players, not many others could fetch more than 10, plus anfield and training facilities etc. are worh millions.

the reason for the low price is probably mainly to do with yaking on the large debts which the clubs have. I have thought before though that you could buy a footie team, sell all the players and leave with a proffit but that obvs isnt realistic
