Yeah i agree zabs is great to have but got shown up today with his lack of pace and kolarov is no better neither, i have to wonder about amount of money spent and no actual detailed thought into players we are buying. But ill leave it too mancini and the sheik, still dont think we have any attacking threat threat when up against clubs with great defense.

There was no one to blame. We went to the hardest place to get a result, matched them toe to toe and lost to a spectacular goal you will see on reruns for years to come. That was Rooney first ever overhead kick goal since he turned professional. Shit happens but likely will happen less often.

That said I am as fucked off about the result as anyone

They didn't worry me when we handed them a free point at Eastlands or bottled it at home v them in both games last season. I hope that now we've outplayed them again on their own ground, in spite of our squad being short of DeJong, Balotelli, Johnson & Bellamy, we will never again, in my lifetime, approach a game v them with the attitude we did in the previous 3.

If Mercer & Allison were in charge of this team, they would set it up psychologically to be mentally on top of that lot in every game. Bob owes it to his players, employers & fans to do that in the future. We can still improve hugely around the box, they are better than us there as we lack purpose cohesion to finish moves off, but we are a better team in every other aspect apart from mentality. Hopefully today has put that one to bed.

On reflection, I think I was more pissed off after the 0-0 at our's than I am today.

The gap is rapidly closing, they are not a good team. We're on the up, they're on the down and as long as that trend continues our day, and indeed our years will come.

Agree totally. Today was a good effort & showed a team who are ready & able to compete with Utd, not shit scared of them.

Zab struggled for pace against Nani ultimately leading to the goal which could have been prevented (I would be clutching at straws to criticise the defence for the second) but still made some decent challenges, and overall I was pleased with the performance.
And just to clarify, I thought Richards was immense.

The sinking feeling in my stomach is too familiar but once we win something it will be far less frequent.

You think we will actually win something? I´m glad someone does - Richards was the epitome of what I want to see from EACH AND EVERY CITY PLAYER - no excuses today - it was there to be won and we ballsed it up. Why is Lescott still at the club?

Spot on. Honestly, I am more encouraged by this loss than I have been by some of our wins. With Balo back and SWP playing well, we have a great shot a silverware and top 4.

Good point, what am I thinking?! This is why being a City fan has hurt me so much over the years.
As for Lescott, it's been a long time since he had a run of games at CB but he is as good as Toure for me. Whether that is as good as we need is another question.

Can I be the first to say MANCINCI OUT!!!

Doesn't he know that we are supposed to sit back and take our punishment at Old Trafford?

What the hell was he thinking bringing on attacking substitutes in THE SIXTIETH MINUTE!!!!

And where the hell was Jo?

The sooner this joker leaves the club the better, we can go back to our true role as expensive laughing stocks.

Woohoo! We're closing the gap on a team that's not good. Another couple of billion & we might get close to a good team. I can't wait.

If it really is a project, it must have a budget, timescale and deliverable. Could someone please advise on the last 2, cos as a stakeholder, I'm getting cheesed off seeing a lack of progress.

Before anyone says it, yes, we were unlucky to lose at the swamp. Pretty much the story of every defby I remember. Oh and we might finish 4th. Should I order the open top bus?

I was pleased with our approach to the game as it was more adventurous than I ever thought it would be. Wished we'd started with Dzeko, Tevez and Silva as our front three though as Tevez was out of sorts all on his own up top.

Happier with today's derby than I was with the home performance despite getting less points.

As a football fan, that winning goal was something very special to watch. Just wish it wasn't against us :-(
