Can somebody tell me how we performed today?
I'm hearing Dzeko had a great game.

Anyhow, finally is good that the table starts with us.

i feel the same way...that was a lot of work to do what i felt was the minimum expected. Leaking two goals wasn't pretty. our backline looked challenged.
On a positive for Bolton how good would they look with the couple long-term injured players like the Korean winger they're missing in their side?
Related: Do you like to see a manager in training kit on the touchline? i prefer a suit...Coyle looks like a tit in his top and shorts and socks, doesn't he? Good manager, bad stylist.
cheers
Its kinda like fat balding american guys wearing goalkeeper shirts to games.....................just saying!
Cheers

I tend to like the BBC updates:

Lescott did.

He was pretty much pap mate...have a look at highlights and see his positioning for the first goal and outjumped by chicken breast Davies for their second.

Lescott dont really have what it takes has he, cant wait for Kolo to take he's place.
Hes a good defender but not good enough to be a starter imo....clearly at fault for their 2nd and was suspect for their 1st.

Very suspect. The 2nd was pathetic defending.
Lots of things to be happy about though. We looked, at one stage, like there were 10 options every time we went forward. Maybe too many options, if you know what I mean. I know this, there are several teams going to get done 6 by us this year, we look full of goals.
Having seen everyone twice, almost, it's between us and The Rags for the league. I think Spurs might be the 3rd team, not Chelsea or Arsenal. Chelsea look slow and predictable, Arsenal Just a mess.

Dzeko's coming into his own now and with the likes of Milner, Barry and Yaya able to cover for Nige and push forward individually, it just shows how much depth we've got in that department. Where we lost it a little was the cover that a true DM provides which showed more and more as the game went on and we began to tire.
Thought the ref gave everything to Bolton if he could and Aguero's goal should've stood; no way was that a free-kick for Petrov.
Fair play though, Bolton are going to take a few points off the top sides with their style of football this season so to come away from their with 3 points is a big plus.
Top of the League, more than happy with that.
PS. Did Mancini just say he hopes for the Nasri deal to be completed by tomorrow?

I think that's right, Beefy, I didn't think of it at all. The value of NDJ is immense to this side. I thought we ran out of steam after 70 minutes and having a player like NDJ to marshall you through those tricky last 20/25 is important.
