Interesting half! We were largely inept. Yaya and Silva make us tick. They are the 2 players who don't just pass the ball well but they have the first touch and intelligent movement that finds space from we which can control the game and threaten.

Barry is trying hard and doing ok but we saw just after they scored that he was looking for people to play with and had to resort to longer balls which is like giving the ball away.Nigel seems to be doing ok but only in a defensive sense.AJ is fairly anonymous, Aguero strangely quiet and Mario non existent, Consequently we are looking totally inept till the last 5 minutes when we got a fraction of hope.

Not sure what to say about Savic. Looked so poor it was embarrassing and I was starting to feel sorry for him but it's the midfield and attacking part which worries me more and not just for tonight.Reading some of the comments back in the paged it seems the only hope was Mario and somebody eulogised over a good touch( did he really have one?) Just joking as I know that he did have one but really he was awful and didn't seem with it to me.Was he fit I am sure is the question and I think the answer is yes or Mancini would not have selected him.He looked 100% fine to me yesterday but today just not with it.The naughty little touch on his head from Adam might have sparked him into life but it could also have been a sending off as well.

Hopes for me are that Nasri,Barry and Milner will work together fairly centrally and get some semblance of control. If the scousers go for it we might lose by 3!

We have been relatively poor but we are only one down with just 135 minutes to play.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

We beat them three nil last week with our best three players.

I agree though, we shouldnt be this bad.

The team put out should be able to have a shot of target in the first half of a game. We have players like Aguerro, Milner, Richards, Clichy, Balotelli etc. Players other teams could only dream of having. There was no urgency at all when Liverpool scored.

Biiiig turnaround required.

Indeed. Such a weird 'spirit' too for - what still is - an important semi. Savic will improve i'm sure, but too bad he has to learn in these important games.

Silverware. With our squad and resources.

Another blessing I suppose?

Fuck off.

Agree. Potential collapse of arsenalesque proportions.

Fucked what up? His effort got the ball, and he had little room to outmaneuver Reina. He couldn't cut it back to the middle.

never knew only 2 mistakes in one half could ruin a career. He was quite good on the weekend, now one bad half and everyone thinks he's shit.

yeah, yeah, yeah it's the match day thread but at least have some memory

There were more than 2 mate.

On a positive note, Nasri is looking good.
