Not that sensible. It's nine clear with 35 games left when we beat them twice.

from the men...

Red Predictor (20/08/2012 at 22:38)

De Gea 9
Evra 2
Vidic 4
Carrick 1
Valencia 5
Nani 1
Cleverley 4
Scholes 3
Kagawa 8
Welbeck 1
Rooney 2

Fergie 0 - played Carrick and Valencia out of position and picked a lighweight midfield with too many play makers and not enough ball winners.

City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Athletico midfields will murder us again this season .
Kagawa looks a gud'un tho.
Still.... Everton away was always going to be a tough start.

Do you remember when Pressie types would refer to a player as the "finished article " ? May i be so bold as to suggest that Paul Scholes as an Article is finished

POTY. If he can get two assists & a 5 yard tap in between now & January.

Has old pisshead actually given his excuses for what happened yet, or did he just fuck off & renege on his contractual duties to the broacaster yet again, because his team got beat ?

Some early season bitterness from Slur -

"Fellaini is a handful: he is a big, tall, gangly lad and they just lumped the ball forward to him, that's all they did."

To be honest, I'm quite pleased that we aren't playing United now, we can sometimes struggle against teams near the bottom of the league!

Watch Bacon put in a bid for Fellaini now. He'd suit them actually.

Played Carrick out of position:)
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Hmm, on some occasions, I would have agreed with that comment but that's certainly not 'all they did' in this game.

They often out thought, out fought & outplayed Utd. It's only because they did the typical 'we'd better stop playing now we're one up, in case Utd score' routine, which many teams fall into, that Utd even gave them a game. Previous to that, Everton were the better side in all areas of the pitch.

I like this, & it was exactly the thought which went through my head:

THE INDEPENDENT

Out-fought away from home in the league and beaten with a goal from a set-piece: at least Robin van Persie's Manchester United debut last night was not too much of a departure from all those years he spent at Arsenal.
