I love a happy ending. Seems the little horse just got a kicking from my little pony.

Be interested to hear your thoughts on when we play Barca if we have failed (so far) due to an inferiority complex of 'omg it's Barca, we're lucky to be hear', or if they're simply a better team than us.

I remain optomistic that we can have one of those great European nights which would really galvanise the whole club and save our season. We are due one!

maybe. i hate to say it, but seems unlikely we will overtake them in the league anyway. could happen, but this does mean they will earn less money and minimizes prestige so that helps us in the competition for players on the transfer market.

Agree with this ^^
Two extra games isn't going to make much difference at this stage of the season. Given that Hazard supposedly chose Chelsea because they won the thing, it's a good thing they are out. Plus if we go out to Barca, we won't have all and sundry whinging like fuck about how poor we are in Europe. Hoping the Mourinho meltdown is about to start

they showed a great deal of grit and determination compared to a chelsea team that reminded me of the one that choked last season.

shame that ibra will not play though. will be interesting to see who they draw.

Over the 2 legs PSG were def the better side. They fully deserved to go through today. Costa shouldve been red carded for his tackle on Silva and then shouldve received a second yellow for shoving Marquinhos later. But, Chelsea shouldve gotten a pen from Cavani's trip on Costa.

Fantastic match.

Gonna be interesting to see how PSG do in the next round without Verratti in the first leg and without Ibra for who knows how long (maybe not at all).

I enjoyed Souness' summation and one that we've all been waiting to hear. Stelling really did try to change it but he wasn't having anything but his say.

We've waited a long time for that and many will see it as refreshing but I wonder if we'll now see a 'Sumerbee' on his arse, being strictly 'Invisible'.

Oh do fuck off. My thoughts are always honest and if you have a complex, don't worry about it, embrace it instead.

Agree PSG fully deserved to go through. But fantastic match? Not for me. The result was fantastic, not the way Chelsea set out to play. Petulant, cheating, boring, unadventurous in the extreme. A piss poor effort from Chelsea. And Costa should have been red carded twice. Hope UEFA can dish out retrospective action, though I won't hold my breath

What did he say, Beefy?

Basically said that Chelsea were a disgrace and should not epitomise what the English game is about. Turned to Carragher and Henry and asked if they could accept this type of game; he was very forceful and go no reaction to defend what we had seen.

Very refreshing mate and even more forceful than we would have been. He was passionate.

Glad to hear it. Radio 5 Live were a fucking disgrace. Wouldn't call out the cheating Chavs and kept blaming everyone but the cunt that managed this team of degenerates.

I struggle when people criticise Souness, as I see him week in / week out here on bein sports, and he honestly calls it as it is. No fucking about, if you're a cunt, he will tell you.

I think he's the best pundit out there, says it how it is, but sometimes gets involved too much. That's what I like though, and can accept, he's a football man.

He doesn't quite fit the Sky narrative though and that's why they introduce the likes of Redknapp/Carragger et al just offset his comments. He wants more of truth, they want more of the fable. It works.

I wonder how Summerbee did, did he call it right?
