I bet the third offer would just guarantee some or all of the add ons

Is 40m too much? No I don't think so. Only time will tell but I hope we snag him and fast.

I don't think Dzonkey wants to go there. Isco isn't a totally like for like alternative but he might come loose for that sort of money. City like him. He's not English of course.

Isco is very happy at Madrid. We should stop talking about him.

Spoke to a pal of mine who's a pretty strong 'ITK' (I really hate that term, sorry...) about Patrick Roberts.

We've bid £5m apparently, but Fulham want twice that and they've told him in no way is it done yet.

I reckon we will reach a deal though. I'd be pretty buzzing if Roberts and Sterling joined us. Pace and skill galore.

I think the plan is to loan on Roberts for a season, perhaps back to Fulham. Difficult to know how the Club will react to being turned down a second time for Sterling. They won't want to pay 50 million and Liverpool will be reluctant to deal below it, particularly as QPR get 25 per cent of any fee I believe. Maybe a deal can be done at 45 million, particularly if it's up front. Liverpool want Benteke and Clyne so they won't want to play it too long and we clearly want to get on with it because this is far from being our only business this window.

I hope we tell them to take it or leave it and we move on. QPR are entitled to 20% of any sell on price.

These wilshere rumours are starting to gather more pace. I think he would be a great fit and technically very good. However he is one of the footballers I despise the most, his cocky attitude like he's already achieved everything really pisses me off! I don't think arsenal will take any less than Liverpool want for Sterling though.

ESPN reporting City are not prepared to increase the offer for Sterling. Moving on to other targets. Could be a tactic.

Do we meet them at £50m then? I say just go and get it done now. Let Brendan go and blow his money again, I'm sure clubs will be adding a 'sterling' premium when the scousers come calling now they know they've got money to spend.

Shouldn't be a tactic simply take it or leave it........... Butthead, Maureen & Whinger have all been given £100+M war chests, i don't recall Brenda having been given such a statement in the press.....

The lack of genuine noise over Pogbe & De Bruynne in my mind means that we are negotiating strongly in the back ground, even concentrating on these over Sterling.

Fuck Brenda and his perma tan with bleached smile, 2nd offer or nothing and fuck off, Sterling is good but not that good. Brenda needs the cash more, simple as that and i don't see anyone else coming into the frame for him at the money they want.

You have to consider the home grown factor, and the need to comply with same, pushing transfer fees up, that wasnt the case with serg.

Has anyone actually done a balance sheet and posted it on here as follows

who we have currently (our named 21 from this season just gone),

who is likely to go OR has gone this window

who is likely to arrive OR has arrived this window

I am intrigued to know where the scare mongering has come re "homegrown/English" Have they changed the rules this window & i've missed it?

Exactly how many homegrown/English players are we losing, how many do we need to bring in?

Are we really saying that beyond 3 marque signings (Pogba, De-Bruynne, Isco.... or whoever) we won't have enough homegrown/English to comply?

I am intrigued to know how close we really are sailing to the wind on this, or if the press has just panicked us, the fans in to believing it?

or the fact that supposedly Pogba doesn't want to leave Juve could be the reason why there's no news about a transfer
