Keep your panties on and get a grip ffs.

No one is saying that we do not play the best football out there. For me, I never saw a team playing better than us, even Pep's Barcelona, I am just pointing out that it starts to look that we have an UCL complex that is growing bigger and bigger.

Look, our club won everything that had to be won locally and for over 8 years now is by far the best team in the country and in the land. We've become solid in every department, grew as a marketing product and reached a level that we could only dream 11-12 years ago.

BUT

In order to reach the next level is to win an european trophy, no matter (for me) which one is it. That is why Pep was brought here, to build a dinasty that ultimately will win the Champions Cup. I am not saying he is the problem, we failed to impress with Mancini and Pellers also, I am saying that it looks like, slowly, we are building an complex in this competition
Lyon is a good team, no doubt, but PSG won 5-0, PSG an inferiour team to us. Lyon outplayed us in two consecutive games, that is the big issue here. We knew what they were about and we were super lucky to finish the way we did last night.

Look, in the league you can lose a game but still win the League, but here are 13 games and losing even once could prove to be more than crucial. We are lacking something, it is either concentration, either is the indivual value.
I hope it is the first one because you can work on that.

Your a good poster PP but over do the long winded bollocks , sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition especially in the ultra technical CL . Lyon had a plan against us and it worked just like the scouse cunts last season , it happpens ! We are fighting on 4 fronts and just beginning the ridiculous hectic schedule. Too many getting carried away that a team actually took us on but couldn’t beat us , we need stern tests throughout the season to keep us and pep at it . Sorry for telling you to fuck off but long winded bullshit after a CL group winning result with a game to go doesn’t mix it pal . City have so much to concentrate on the next month , season defining! if we save our best for business end of the season with a fully fit squad we might just achieve something very magical !

That is the issue right there. If we want to win this, we need to know how to solve a team having a plan against us. At this level you are not allowed to make similar mistakes versus the same team. Concentrate this year on the league and UCL and leave the cups for next year. Winning all 4 it is impossible.

So we are coming back to what we talk earlier, this is a competition where making a small mistake can finish you. If they want it, they need to be sharp as fuck.
I could go on with the number of players that made the trip there. Could had been that hard to take Ambrose and other few kids, just for the trip? Of course they would had not play, but could had be along the big boys in a big week night in the Champions League. It beats the atmosphere from a trip to York.

Valid points, however, we're still top of the table. On balance, we had Silva, KDB and Gundo all missing, that's our engine room, this is where we excel. I'd rather grind out results than blitz it in group stages. We have a game on Saturday, it's all about managing your schedule than going gun ho, afterall its a result business. We are not quite there as the finished article in this competition, its a case of managing pressure and expectations, if we can get over that hurdle, we'll keep getting closer

True but I think Lyon were clearly too good for pep to play some of the kids , we got the required result hoffenheim is a now a dead rubber and luxury where pep does have a genuine option to play 3 or 4 young players job done until February as far as the CL is concerned.

hoffenheim is not a dead rubber. we need a point to clinch top spot in the group.

Nice easy game having already qualified for the last 16 of the CL at this hectic stage of the season , nice that , Lyon might not even win or draw their last game either , nice ! Really nice situation to be in ! Pep might even fancy finishing second and drawing Barca or Juve and get a chance to knock them out eh ? Never second guess pep ! Nice situation very nice , still plenty on here want to pick the fucking bones out of it though very bizarre indeed . Mind fucking boggling site this at times ! Dead rubber ! We have qualified!!!

Lyon have to win 8 nil or something like that to have any chance of winning the group aswell , Shaktar will be well up for it though like you say . Mentality of a "few" on here is that our last game isn't a dead rubber though , beggars belief this forum at times , well a lot of the time lately

If we lose and they win then they top the group mate, it's decided by head to head results rather than goal difference.

Ah nice one pal . Still all ifs and buts and we have to lose . Shaktar can pip Lyon to qualify for the last 16 think they will be up for that , everything massively in City,s favour after last nights result in France . Sort of a lot about nothing really = dead rubber !

There's too much credit being given to Lyon here. When the medals are being handed out they will be nowhere to be seen.
Blue tinted specs or not we were very poor last night and very lucky not to have lost 5-2.

Beating the shite PL teams easily is one thing but the latter stages of this competition is another. I am not convinced we can do it.

Its a shame you thought we were very poor and your not convinced is some statement to be fair . Have you met Nigel from Surrey ? you will get on just fine !
