This was terrible. Just terrible, but a title-winning victory, if you ask me. Sure, we played a shit load of games, it's the first day of the year, but we were saved again by the usual suspects, while, again, the usual suspects were beyond shit.
I think early subs could have won it sooner, but that will do. Now a draw or a Chelsea win will be fantastic.
For me, finally, it dropped another pin: we need another center back. Stones is a liability and cannot be trusted. Fit and focused he is one of the best in the game, but that is 3 out 10 games. Laporte cannot be trusted in crucial games. Sure, he will do with Burnley, Leeds etc, but in big games, he is a ticking bomb. His panics and lack of attention will ultimately cost us in the UCL, like it did three times already.
Sure, it will not happen, we have other priorities, but at some point we need to do this.
