Not just you. Makes sense to be loyal to the guy that wanted to give you the opportunity to win the lot and begged you to stay two summers ago. I personally wouldn’t go above him first, but I also wouldn’t get my cock out in bar.

He's stayed too long. Possibly England's greatest right back, one of our greatest players.

And now it's all gone to shit. That's what football does, if you aren't careful.

Still, he'll have the money. Except that.....

It’s pretty unusual for a City Club Captain to say he wants to finish his career in mid season. I think a chat with Pep would have been appropriate.

BBC report leads with - “Jack Grealish scored his first goal in over a year…”

Pathetic bitter cunts.

Absolutely. It is unprofessional of Walker, no question. His legacy has taken some trashing, but it is totally of his own making. He was great for us, and thank you, Kyle. Now, we move on.

I doubt Pep or many others will lose sleep over it.

Clearly his personal life and losing his legs have impacted his game and he's thinking of one long big pay day, to cope with the allomony and mortgages for at least two high maintenance carriages of his loins.

He's not finishing his career by courting Saudi, he's cashing in. Simple really, absolutely no reflection on our club whatsoever.

I thank him for his service and admire what he has achieved whilst with our club.

'Possibly England's greatest right back ' - possibly the biggest piss take ever

One of our greatest players, possibly the biggest insult to players that were great in a City shirt.

Walker was a good player, aided by blistering pace. Average skills and now he is shit. Off the field, I am ashamed he is a City player. A complete twat

I totally agree with this. For me all he had was pace and to be fair it was pretty damned fast, as for football brain…..none.
I’ve supported City for sixty years, he wouldn’t be in my top 100.

Good to see that a patched team could beat a Salford team that have done so well, recently.

Some good individual performances, but even more, some of those goals were proper team goals.

Eh ? PMSL
He’s a fucking embarrassment off the pitch and he’s never ever had a football brain on the pitch - couldn’t cross the ball for shit - was actually the worse crosser of the ball that I’ve ever seen at right back at City.
He was fast and that was it - he had nothing else to offer.

Yes, I could have added - no DM, no cover for CF, 3 out of 4 CBs injured, an increasingly legless MF core of Gundo, KDB, Kova & Bernie plus Foden & Grealish just not at it. Pep is out of aces and a third of January gone with no new recruits yet and not a sniff yet of a desperately needed DM.
Forget last night - it's looking very bleak for us.

I see Shearer says that Grealish should take confidence from his performance. Can I ask what game he was watching? Grealish and Gundogan were two of the worst players for City, all the young lads played well and put in good accounts. Grealish still looked scared to play a pass more than five yards forward or take on a defender. Gundogan was trying to do what he used to do but his legs are slower than his brain now so it doesn't work.
