Some strange decisions but I'll reserve judgement until we've played Arsenal.

Provided he gets stuck in, I have no problem with playing him, even if he doesn't score. If he strolls around giving the ball away however, I don't want him here. Mario worked his balls off today. Hopefully Dzeko will also have turned over a new leaf & do the same when he gets his chance.

Both will get plenty of games if they put the effort in.

Dzeko worked his balls off at the beginning of last season and it didn't do him much good, I just don't think Mancini likes him too much, which is his perogative. Probably better for all if he's allowed to leave at the end of the season (or sooner if we have a target that we couldn't quite get this window just gone).

Yap its not that he dont like Edin how much he like Mario ..

Mancini likes the players to respond when he gives them the chance. Mario did that today & Bob will be pleased with him. If Dzeko does the same when he gets his chance, he'll get plenty of games. If he sulks & gives the ball away in a half arsed manner, he'll be benched for a long spell again. Dzeko will get better srevice this season if he puts the effort in. Maicon, Sinclair, Kolarov etc will look for him.

Well Ted, I'll have to disagree with you on Mario. A liability as everwho doesn't use one twentieth of his ability. A prize feckin waster in my view. Morover I would be astonished if the players aren't thinkin "what the feck" in relation to the treatment of Edin.Watchin Garcia reminded me of everything Nige didn't do. People saw a tatooed muscle bound skinhead and thought he must be fiercesom. But to me he was incapable of blocking up midfield. So well pleased on that front. But Balo, feckin £40 mill turned down for a child actor, ridiculous.

Well it's my opinion that if Mario continues to work & behave like he did today, by the end of the season he will be one of the best, if not the best striker in the country. He just needs to keep it going & not slip back to his old ways. The goals, & assists will follow.

so we invest in hes future rather then give sombody who score now at list 20 minutes intresting :)

I'm sure the goals and assists will follow, because he will be given a run of games to give him those chances (assuming he doesn't get double yellowed, or straight red carded). He's had good games in terms of behaviour before, let's hope he can maintain it for a season this time, we can only benefit if he does.

my friend Dzeko has already done this 3 games ago, as he scored 2 goals and played well. Stop defending Balotelli. If Dzeko was a kind of player who did random stuff that Balotelli does and gets red cards - except the incident ib Munich. What would happen then? He has been on fire lately and in this game he had to start.Dzeko is just very patient and Im not sure for how long more will that last. I predict him leaving in the next transfer window...Overall, very unprofessional from Mancini's side...

earned the free kick that scored the goal, and should have had another half dozen i think.

wasn't his besst game ever, but he wasn't embarrassing or poor imho either.

Did anyone catch Balo talking to Mancini as they walked off at the half? I believe in my heart that Balo is a footballing genius and has trouble communicating with players at times, even talented ones. He'll have to figure that out to reach his potential.

Then again,
Zabba, Kolarov, Silva and Dzeko played midweek.
Maicon, Clichy, Nasri and Balotelli did not play.
do you see what's common in both of these lists?

edit: this debate can go on just as long as people want to continue as this is just a could've would've should've debate.
I personally would've brought Dzeko on earlier too, but we can only guess whether that would've improved us or made us worse

What frustrates me most about mario is his REALLY bad passing. He's constantly given the ball away since he joined us. He seems incapable of simple passes sometimes. It's just plain odd really.

I think he was trying to get Bob to tell Vinny not to whack the ball over his fucking head to their keeper, ever again.

Common wath they dont have strength for 20 minutes bollox or he save them for Madrid bollox , think how this efect player you are menager if u bring him in 91 minute and he know he could play at list 10 if we have lead ok, if we have Tevez in ok , amd yes he score 4 goals agains lichenstain and Latvia Grece score 2 against Latvia and Slovakia at home against Licenstain score only 2 so he score more then whole Slovakia he is in form there is no doubt abaut that and who saying that he did not deserve 10 min or to not bring him at all well then its personal not abaut football.and now we give points for fauls to ok that is good :) ballo will get a lot today he fall 10 times get 2 or 4 free kick ,3 points for him , i ts funy but i m glad that people some of them see that.

Balotelli played well enough but the game needed changing and Dzeko deserves more than a 91st minute sub appearance based even on his performances so far this season for us. Not saying it should have been Balotelli who went off but we could certainly have done with Dzeko on from at least 70 minutes,
