although the first goal, I am wondering if aguero could have passed to dzeko first instead of silva.

Joking apart, I genuinely wondered about that. I've criticised Bob for his man management but perhaps there was a touch of genius in not telling Dzeko he was playing until the last hour. Perhaps he gets uptight if he has time to think about it ?

I don't think you can. A pure goal poacher would have to accept a role as an impact player & 2nd choice starter imo. Dzeko doesn't like that role, so will have to take his part in the play. I think he can do it though, just don't think he has done it very often & that's the problem. Part of that is the complete lack of interplay between our forwards though. The number of times Aguero actually tried to play with Dzeko v Norwich suggested that Bob has had a word.

He should have sorted it a year ago, but better late than never. Now, he needs to keep at it & make all of them work in partnership, not just allow an Argentinian duo to take over. Imo, much of the shit Balotelli gets is because people don't play with him.

Sort it wth both or sell both & sort it right now. The whole bunch should have 'gelled' a long time ago.

No, david had the better possibilities and it was the correct ball. It forced the defender towards david and gave edin more room. i don't think the defender expected david to give a first time pass.Which created the room and time for Edin.

He was poor today. more involved in play than usual, but first touch of a rapist again, and gave the ball away countless times.

If the players around him involve him though (which has been the difference for me, not an upturn in form), he will continue to score goals and thats what counts

Dzeko should be handling build up play as little as possible. Paired with any of our other strikers, that's not really a problem ... why does a team need 2 strikers involved in buildup? You are denying your own creative players space when you have a tevez/dzeko duo both coming into midfield to look for the ball, and you are taking away a central advanced scoring threat. Sometimes that's fine, and other players overlap and run into those positions, but it should not be the main mode of attack. Dzeko drifts wide left way too often, trying to get more touches, trying to build up play.

When dzeko plays, I want him in positions where he is either heading it at goal, or taking a touch to set himself up and shoot, or taking it first time. Occasionally, I'd like to see him try a flick on or lay off for our other strikers, all from mainly central positions. However you want to describe his play: poacher, target man, shite, etc ... If he is scoring goals, then he's not being carried.

Big strikers all make twats of themselves sometimes with ball control but personally I've never thought there was anything wrong with Dzeko's touch compared to most similar players. Just his decision making concentration & allround effort. I thought he was decent in those departments but even though we used him more, Aguero could have used him more still.

Bob needs to keep pushing this, don't let it just rest here. This is really the last opportunity for us to get Dzeko playing to his potential.

Most of the time he is back to defend , people expect that the big guy like Edin to play like Aguero,that is not possible.I think many do not assess its true quality , that it is deadly in front of goal. Edin goals are usually score first chance while Aguero, although most of the opportunity created itself ,need few to give a goal. I'm sorry Aguero has just attacking mentality, because he could be great assistant because he has pace and that touch .If you think about Edin what confuses me is that sometimes proves to have incredible passes like the one against Arsenal ,counter-attack. But his best quality is in front of goal and as long as his is deadly in these situations he should play, at least rotate with Tevez.
