The ref was disgusting.

City were the usual pile of shit in the first half, then turned into the juggernaut in the 2nd, basically a sort of unstoppable machine. I watched the whole of the 2nd half again when I got back and enjoyed it slightly mor than being there; probably as we had the points sewn up as opposed to trying to, as per watching live.

I thought Clichy was magnificent.

All said, the club is in a total mess. FFS, 23 wins and 2 draws from the last 25 at home is crap. That's only 71/75 points, what fucking planet if Mancini on? Plus, just because we have the tightest defence in the PL does not mean anything other than they are probably the best. Nothing more. It's a mess, I tell you, a mess.

Seriously though, if we could maybe turn up for the first half occasionally, we'd piss this league. Alright, we know teams are just not prepared to play us at proper football so they resort to massed ranks of defence, but we should be better that the 1st half mireshite we are regularly getting. We often wear teams down, but it needs to be better, earlier, for sure.

I noticed last season that we try to ensure the oppo doesn't see to much ball in the 1st twenty and I usually tell my mate I'll stay at the bar until we get to that point. I believed this was down to our fitness training and those first 20 was down to conditioning and getting ourselves upto speed. How many goals did we get in the 1st 20 mins?

This season we seem to have the same sort of thing happening however, our oppo seem to have sussed this out and are getting upto speed quicker and scoring early, usually from set pieces. We then get into our stride and look a far better outfit.

Maybe it is just down to conditioning and whre the energy levels kick-in. It seems to be coming back and we're getting into our stride faster each game. When we peak though, that is anybodys guess.

You know what, you've posted pretty much what I was thinking earlier.

Generally last season we soaked up pressure earlier on, tired teams out and then scored for fun later in games. The main difference this season is the other teams are getting the first break and making our job that little bit harder. Once we start keeping possession a bit better games will begin to appear that bit easier I think.
