Pretty much did what we've been doing a lot of this season - played well for long spells but almost let them back into it - just like against Villa we let a two goal lead slip but fought back to take all the points.

Just seen Hart's save - breathtaking.

I'm struggling to think of a better save, City bias or not. Easily City's best save of the season, very probably the best Prem save of the season, and at the very least it's one of the greatest saves I've ever seen.

Arason double save v spurs during the great comeback.

Schmeichel against Liverpool. Double save. Was Jim Montgomeryesque.

Banks v Brazil. I have never seen a save that comes close and I doubt I ever will. Jim Montgomery probably second best and I do recall Joe Corrigan pulling off something truly spectacular in the 70's. (Featured in a Blue Peter "greatest saves" feature).

Ironically BBC have a poll for save of the season. Which obviously ommits today's (and next weeks) games. Why the fuck does "of the season" votes commence before the season is actually up.

No, that award was given out in November.

He's tied on 13 with Mignolet, Fabianski and Forster. Courtois is on 12 with two to play so it could end up a five way tie.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Kolarov had a good game again. Maybe he's a confidence player, like Dzeko seems to be and he needs the run of games to hit good form.

Kolarov is also playing with more commitment than he was showing earlier which is usually the case with Dzeko when he is at his best.

I don't understand why either shouldn't be showing that in every game they play, good or bad. So I trust neither.

I'm usually his biggest critic but I have to admit he has been playing really well for the last month. His defending, always his weak point, is much better - just wish he was more consistent. On current form I would pick him over Clichy (if he was fit)

They've just showed the entries (narrowed down with the help of 'Premier league goalkeepers') which made the list - one (I forget which) was vaguely similar to Joe's but none of them were better than his. Yet another award that we wont win.
