Good move for him

Indeed. If Vinny can coach him 1-1 that can only be a good thing and coming after a spell under Mowbray who was a decent cb as well. Good luck to him

Yeah, good move. Anderlecht is a club with a pedigree.

Love this bit:
Man United have never shown an interest in signing Grealish. This has been a one horse race since last summer, with City getting the deal done.

Yeah, they never show interest in our targets

And just so that people have even more ammo to slag him off if he signs, here's the tweets he's deleted

90 mil + add ons for a club that declared £443.5m debt.

Yeah, that sounds normal.

Why is everyone confident we got Grealish in the bag? Isn't that a tad premature!

Yes it is, but of all the players were linked to, he seems amongst the most likely to me. Dont know what the situation is with Villa, suspect behind it all they might need a few quid like many other clubs hit by covid.
There will probably be the usual posturing from them but in the end they will take the money.
Also the player himself wants to come, that's been clear for ages now.

We also thought we had Sanchez and Jorghino in the bag!
Yes I can see us signing him, there is always that little chance things can go wrong

No doubting his football skills.
Personality wise he is a great fit for them.
His ego is as large as his integrity is small.

“Man City vs Liverpool….Come on the reds” isn’t bad? It’s fuckin horrendous that anyone that isn’t a scouser would even cheer for them. It sounds like at the time he just didn’t like City for whatever reason, and didn’t want us to win either title.

It’s obvious Grealish is thick as fuck. But so are a few of our players.

Grealish was probably one of the villa Neanderthal arseholes waving fake notes at the top man that is Gareth Barry. Fuck him. I don’t want him at my club and we certainly don’t need him.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

I am not arsed about him, but he was super young when he posted those shits. Then he was caught drunk, with the prostitute and so on.
But for two years now, since they came back in the league, he seems he got it all together. Same as Stonesey.
One way or another we need to replace Gundo and I would want someone who proved himself in the league.

My only issue is caused by the money involved. Too much.

It is only reasonable to give young people room to make mistakes. That is how they learn best i.e. the hard way.
I did some really stupid stuff in my youth, people helped, I learnt the hard way and moved forward the better for it.

Grealish did some stupid stuff but he does not seem to repeat mistakes. He also comes across as a bit of crack and a non-arrogant character.

So for me what he did and said in the past is irrelevant.
I hope he signs for us because I like watching him play, he is a fresh face which we need and he will make us better.

Have to say that I'm not a fan from the outside of seeing him at another club. I do see him as an upgrade on Gundo but if peps beloved Barca cannot afford Gundo then he may well replace Bernie and Bernie shits all over him on his day. The problem Bernie has is Kev stifles him and Kev is not going anywhere

I think Grealish is an upgrade on Bernardo.
We can't keep blaming Kev for Bernardo not doing it. He was shit for Portugal in the Euros, kept dribbling down the right and then passing backwards. Did it constantly.
Grealish looks to me like he'd thrive on the pressure. He was a big fish in a small pond at Villa and when he was out near the end of the season they went to pieces but also he's played well every time he's played for England. When the whole crowd was going mad for him to come on the other night he came on and produced.
Instantly changed the game. He'd be great for us.
