Every club needs that statement signing when they announce themselves as an elite club.

Manchester City are still waiting. Robinho was first for the Citizens – similar to PSG’s €42 million move for Javier Pastore - but after that the initial move, other deals have been big: Sergio Agüero, Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sané and Bernardo Silva to name a few, but only big in terms of fees spent, rather than personnel.

Barcelona and Real Madrid were already there, yet they can still attract Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez and James Rodriguez. The best, most sought-after players, moving to the best clubs. PSG and City must contend with picking off the outsiders: Ángel Di Maria, Kyle Walker, Julian Draxler etc. Not exactly eating crumbs that fall from the table, but more making do with the set menu and house wine, rather than the Chateaubriand and a vintage red.

Please stop with all these different journos and media outlets.....its just not helping sad cunt Nigels own agenda.

sorry carl, it has to be done if a cure is to be found

JC Do you remember that clown Chemical Ali being interviewed at Baghdad airport during the Iraq war.....''I can categorically state that there are no American tanks in Baghdad''....... ***camera leans to his left and there are 3 American Tanks bimbling alongside the airport****

I think Nigel is related to chemical Ali.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

BBC will be pumping money into United and Liverpool clubs and sub-clubs from the very start of this year's FA Cup competition.

FA Cup: BBC to broadcast one game from every qualifying round

Aw, bless... Maybe, in a decade or two, if the BBC can pump enough of our licence fees in, we'll see Salford City or AFC Liverpool appearing in the National League. And United will be able to splash out another Pogba or Lukaku, or even a Neymar, on some quite good player to bolster their raid on the PL.

If we've ruined football in nine years, but PSG have managed to do it in six, then who is actually and ultimately responsible ??

I'm now a bit confused :? :? :?

As would anyone be if they were looking from the outside.

We're castigated for ruining football, then castigated for not ruining football.
I've seen some shite pushed out by the mirror, but that probably caps it all.

But £95 for the City tour is not even the most expensive. That is at their neighbours Manchester United, where a legend tour is £120, although the price will not rise this season.

...

The tours usually last 30 minutes and include dressing rooms, stands, dug-outs, tunnel and executive boxes.

...

Man City say their legends tour takes three hours and includes a souvenir photo signed by an ex-player and a three-course meal in a five-star hospitality suite.

Not bad for £95!

Airbrushed again - there's a surprise

"Mbappe has endured a quiet pre-season while at the centre of a transfer saga involving the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal"

Couple of nuggets

Pep Guardiola delivered a season worse than Manuel Pellegrini's in 2015-16

Manchester City still have question marks in defence despite spending £200m

Guardiola and director of football Txiki Begiristain must be under huge pressure

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has built a team of giants at Old Trafford

He also said he'd love spurs to think big and go for isco or mbappe

Hoddle, Gerard and Lampard on BT for the Charity Shield.
Frank going for Chelsea to retain the title with City second.
The other two going for City to win the PL this season.

I can understand Frank going for Chelsea given his background, but as we know now, retaining the title is tough and things don't seem quite right there with Conte's comments in the last few days.

Didn't look good today.
I'd say Conte will be looking to buy in the next fortnight or they will be very much weaker.

Conte can't be happy.
