Hope he has a blinding WC and comes back ready for action next season. We can always send him back when it gets a bit colder in November!

Read the statement again. They are paying everything.

Santos are picking up his full wage and bonuses.

On the OS mate.

You know what's going to happen?

His contract will finish in August and he'll ask for a month off because he's tired

Doh! That's good news all around then. Sad to see him leave but it wasn't working out was it?

Would love to see Johnson in as cover. We also don't have many options down the right at the moment do we?

Unfortunately I agree. Although CL football may be a draw for him. Saying that we could sign better players IMO.

Adriano went on loan back to Brasil from Inter, subsequently returned and played a blinder...

Yeah Hughes always got 100% out of him and they were like brothers

Well folk said we needed a different manager to get the best of out him, we get a different manager and Robinho is out of the club 6 weeks later. Can Mancini manage players of this calabre?

Well I have no idea whether Mancini can manage players of Robbie's calibre but he sure can ship them out pretty sharpish. As if subbing the sub Robbie wasn't enough of a subtle message playing him at bleeding Scunthorpe pretty much told us where Robbie stood in Mancini's plans for the season

I bet he will wave his full wage, and just ask for something Santos can afford, I dont know what there wage system can support, I imagine is a hell of alot less. But if your on £120k a week, and drop to having £40k a week for 6 months, it barely matters does it?

Very sad to see this happen, what a waste of talent. So many half assed performances along with some superb displays.
With the right attitude the chap would be what he imagines he is,one of the best players in the world. You really have to question his motives a player who has serious ambitions of being the best would never in a million years dream of moving from the premier league to brazil.
Fair play to city for negotiating the full payment of his wages.
All going well he will play a blinder at the world cup and create a bit of interest from other clubs, personally i dont think he deserves the chance to play with city again after forcing this move.If he had any self respect he would have knuckled down and tried to play his way back into the team.
A major dissapointment to say the least.

Wouldn't want him back, bad attitude and, probably, a disruptive influence.

Already have, we can now play 1 up front and have Vieira as the 3rd or even 4th holding midfielder on the pitch ;-)

There will be blood if city don't sign anyone and we miss out on 4th because of an injury crisis.

I fully expect city not to be stupid and to bring in a quality replacement.

robinho definatly gone, Benjani on his way - to be honest I am fine with both, however BOTH need to replaced somehow - always tricky in Jan, does mancio have an ace up his sleeve as we're not being linked with a wealth of strikers?

its "first refusal" - basically if a club bids for them, and it is accepted, then we have an opportunity to match the offer and sign the player

Say that team is Madrid,Rags,Chelsea,Barca et al we wouldnt stand a chance,First refusal is bollocks.

Weve now lost even more of a creative spark,We now basically dont have it especially in midfield.

Oh and i cant fucking wait for the weekly hows Robbie doing thread and youtube link,Im so excited.

Can't say its the happiest day ever after losing to those cunts again in stoppage time and our first marquee signing leaving us.

We need a quality attacker and I'll be very pissed off if the window closes and the best we can hope for is Vieira to get off his sick bed so Gareth Barry can push further forward.
