European football is worst for the emotional shots, when they have a local company/director and you miss 20 mins of the game while they show multiple slow-mo 'emotion' shots of the players .... That fucking gets my bollox clanging!

To offer a solution for your and my complaints:

I would love to have the option to watch the game with no commentary. Instead they combine (at the proper sound levels) the chants from both sets of fans and stadium noise combined with what the players and managers are saying to each other. You would have the view of a box seat, the atmosphere of the singing section, and the immersion of sitting behind the bench. Everything focused on making the optimal viewing and listening experience. All about the game and nothing else. No gossip, no sideshows, no bullshit. Perfect.

You mean like they used to on the red button? Why they ever got rid if it I have no idea. I literally have to watch in silence when Michael fucking Owen is on BT. They even had the option of 'fan zone' or local radio along with stadium only. All of which were much better than what we have with these clowns.

I've mentioned on here before about these wankers showing close ups when the ball is in play. It's like having some twat stand up in front of you. They could record all that shit & show it when someone goes down injured.

The lack of understanding sometimes is unbelieveable. Like when they show a replay & you can hear from the crowd noise that something is happening in the game but they continue with the replay rather than cutting back to live play.

That kind of thing used to be considered the absolute pits of broadcasting in years gone by.

I remember Richie Benaud talking about it, saying that for the audience to miss important live action for a replay, was as bad as it gets & basically unforgiveable. Now it happens all the time, & sometimes we miss goals or assists due to that, or looking at Roy fucking Hodgson talking to Ferguson in the crowd etc.
