We score a shit load of goals for a team that lacks a natural finisher. Do we miss a striker, yes we do and hopefully that gets sorted this time. We will be some team with a natural goal scorer up top frightening really

Actually the Referee blew for a penalty. Shit happens but Laporte always runs around with his hands in the air, in an effeminate way.

Never heard that rule Johnny. What if you head the ball onto your hand on the goal line, preventing a goal?

Watch on youtube.com

The ball deflected from head to arm which was not in an unnatural position- ie below head height and consistent with jumping - look at Benzema's arm, almost identical. No penalty on any interpretation of the rule except by cheating krauts on VAR.

Chelsea stuck three past Real at the Bernabeu and won the match. Los Blancos were lucky to go through. It’s no fortress.

Plus the lad from River. I think we need 2 maybe 3 out and finishers.

Here’s one United fan gobsmacking Carragher about the atmosphere last night.

IF we get Haaland in, then him plus Alvarez will be a start. One of Srerling and Gabby will be gone so we do need to replace but i dont see that being this next window. Get Rice to sit behind and we are golden for the next five yeats. Got to also see what Delap can do as he seems a natural finisher

We are in the driving seat make no mistake. They are not as invincible as is made out. Predictably Sky this morning are all about Madrid. Well, let them. We scored four after all and on another day could have had 7/8 comfortably and we would be talking about the greatest team ever.
And we were without both regular full backs which hampered our planning.

But onwards to Madrid and you can bet that Madrids players, management and fans will be more frightened of what they know we can do, than what we are. We are still red hot favs at the bookies and for good reason.

Ultimately a good job well done IMO

Double whammy with Mahrez for their first. After the abysmal attempted tackle on Modric he was still in a position to close Mendy down and stop the cross if he'd put the effort in and sprinted but he didn't. It was also his sloppy pass that instigated the whole phase of possession leading to their third. We were let down badly by him and Laporte last night.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I agree with this.

Also Jesus was pissed at being subbed, rightly so. No way he should have gone off. He's been one of our better performers of late.

Overall Jesus played very well but he still makes stupid decisions when he’s around that penalty area - he pases when he should shoot and he shoots when he should pass .

Annoying but he played very well .

Mahrez has always been a greedy cunt and it has to be said , he’s a fucking coward going into (or not going into ) a tackle .

He even pulls out of a 60/40 in his favour tackle ffs !
Just as well he does other shit right otherwise he would be on the shit step more often than not .

Laporte - it’s been said a million times, he nearly always fucks up in big games - especially the CL games .

He was at fault for 2 goals and needs dropping for the return match .(if that’s at all possible )
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Laporte is too good to drop. It’s a fucked up conundrum because you’re right. Far to many unforced errors.

It's scripted.

We lost to vermins in FA cup semi final and we'll beat them in champions League final.

Me too, although I'd rather beat them in a final and break their hearts and swim in their tears.

Possibly, but none can lace Aguero's boots. He was also guilty of missing a fair few at times.

Dias has lost his usually reliable composure since his return from injury. He is rushing things and getting caught out a few times , he lost his form just before he got injured. Top top player and leader hope he gets his A game back vsoon .
Not really here

We conceded 32 goals last season with the best CBs.
This season with Laporte playing practically every game we've conceded 21 with 5 games left so I'm pretty certain we'll do better.
Maybe they didn't prove it.
