I'm less than convinced but Pep and Txiki seem to think it's a good idea. Firstly La Liga isn't as intense and the first time round it took a season to adjust here, with all the usual insults from some fans.

Then he's older of course. But when it's all about squad rotation I guess it's a free shot.

But what an absolute shower (to quote the late, great Terry Thomas) Barcelona are

Equally, is he better than Nunes? Yes. Is he better than Kova? Yes. Would McAtee learn a lot from him? Yes.

He was one of Germany’s best players at the Euros. In his last game for us he scored to belters against the Rags.

A couple of Barca games I watched last season I thought he was bang average

Didn’t he get 18 goals and assists last season for Barca?

And 9 assists. Not shattering performance he never was a massive goal scorer but his goals were usually important. The assist stat is a modern day bullshit mechanism to inflate value.
If he comes on a free, great but the cost will be his wages and who does he stop from maturing and will Nunes get any real chance to improve. Between KDP and Gundo they could do one half each perhaps. How many zimmers have we got

Wow he's actually coming. For free.

Surprised we've gone back in truth.

Lose lose in theory i guess and makes us stronger in the pitch and leadership.

Every time he gets some minutes I think 'this is it, finally', then he makes some good moves and fucks it up at the end. I think he may have had 1 assist, though

We should have gone all out to sign Witzy or Muss. This feels slightly underwhelming. If we can get rid of Nunes, then this makes more sense. Are we planning/ saving up for a major overhaul next or the season after?

I can’t get beyond him blaming others, especially kids like Lewis, when Nunes himself misplaces a pass. He’s done it a few times now and fair enough if you’re Kev or Foden, but Nunes shouldn’t be throwing his arms around at anybody.

Wonder what Bernie's missus is thinking. She was keen on Barcelona also.
