Is Ade back for the second leg? And would he get anything more than a space on the bench anyway?

I'm so nervous even though it's full time. I'll take that as I'm sure we all will. We need to keep the ball better but job done.

IM NOT DISSAPOINTED AS HE PLAYED TRUE TO FORM..SLOW AND IRRELEVANT.

I HONESTLY THOUGHT TAKING TEVEZ OFF FOR ANYONE WAS A BAD SUB IMO..........BUT IM STILL ELATED WE WON..GOT A SORE THROAT I WAS SHOUTING THAT MUCH.

noone gives an honourable mention to de jong. he was only slightly less brilliant than against chelski.

benjani, what's the point?

we cannot play like that last 20 mins if we want a day out at wembley.

Bang on there - he ambled about like it didn´t matter and nearly cost us inviting them on to us

Proud of the lads tonight - they gave everything and to come back from a goal down showed spunk

Tevez and Given get both MOTM for me, followed closely by Kompany, then De Jong close on his tail.

But a special mention to Boyata I think is due, his first home start, first derby, and he was clearly nervous before kick off, but imho he played quite well. I'm not sure if maybe he could have done something to stop Giggs from scoring, but it wasn't his fault really, it was just a bit of an unlucky situation.

Yeah, with Tevez as an outlet that last ten minutes might not have taken years off my life. With Scunthorpe not until Sunday, not really sure what the thinking was there. Benjani should have gone balls-out for 15 minutes as though his career depended on it.

Well done City! A nervewracking final 10 mins that I hope I don't have to experience again. Let's try and settle the second leg, in our favour, by halftime, eh Roberto?

I have a sneaky feeling about that too but for now I am chuffed to the bollocks. :)

And I wonder if Fergie will risk playing a full strength team when he has to play Arsenal in the league (which is arguably more important) the weekend after.

I think that, under the circumstances, a good thrashing would be ok.

The bit that gets me totally hating the rags is when the players crowd the ref and unleash. It's not right. I hate them so much.

5 minutes? Only when we play them.

We will have to be even more organized for the second leg and not allow any of this nonsense of sitting back for the last ten minutes and allowing United to lay siege to our penalty area. We need to retain greater possession of the ball and not be intimidated by the reputation of the rags. The massive investment of the sheik in our squad has allowed us to catch up to the advantages the rags have had over us and we should be intimidated by no one. As long as we send out a good side, organized properly according to a good tactical game plan, we should have no trouble getting to Wembley- and WINNING THERE. Come on, CITY!!!
