Probably first time ever I agree with you on something, this is dead right.

I've never felt this disappointed in Pelligrini before. We are better than that and should be playing to win, and playing attacking football is clearly something he prides himself on. We never wanted to try and score today, we gave them a ton of respect and just wanted a 0-0 draw, and it was a horrible game and a disappointing result.

Frankly I feel disgusted about that. Feels like a loss to me. SO disappointed in Pelligrini.

Id rather we had played fantasy football, that we all know we can play, and lose by a solitary goal than have to watch that utter shit today.

Agree completely

Played shit away from home and didn't lose to one of our two rivals for the title.

I'll take that all day long.

I know we like to play beautiful football and on our day we are sublime, but that can't happen all of the time I guess.

I'm happy we didn't lose and are back top of the table job done.

We could've finished the day 3rd after a defeat but we are sat top. The game wasn't a classic but a good result for us

Me too. I'm really happy with a point given Sergio and the big lad were missing. Games are often like that after European games. I think it's true MP got what he wanted, but if it's good enough for him...

Spot on. That's a fairly poor performance by us and against the rags strongest side it puts their lack of talent firmly into perspective.

Without Sergio and Silva a point at the swamp is a point more than last year and not to be sniffed at. We'd all love to smash them every time but realistically with our injuries a point is not a bad return!

Very happy with a point at the swamp in the circumstances that takes us back to the top of the league . Awfull game where Van Oblong Head got his tactics and system totally wrong which made it so easy for us to drop in and settle for the draw we needed with the players we had available . I didn't enjoy it one fucking bit but great effort and commitment from City , we were never going to get beat .

Re Bony, a very easy target for criticism. I thought he held the ball up well in the first half but when all of our attacking players play badly it's very difficult to contribute as a lone front man, particularly when you're not a very mobile one! Convinced if he gets good service he'll get plenty of goals.

I'm amazed at the negativity on here.
After 2 games in less the week we go to the swamp without two of out best players and set up not to lose.
By so doing we don't get a vintage city out and out attacking display but its mission accomplished job done and back to the top of the league.

Get over yourselves and stop fucking moaning.

That was a very useful point. Also it stopped any momentum they might have built by beating us and going top.
Sure we could have done better, but it is a wasted opportunity for them rather than us.
I normally want Gung Ho cavalier football, but I can be pragmatic about that effort today.

Tales of two generations.

I a hhappy with a point.

My lad is angry with pellegrini and his tactics and negativity.

I have to admit that we are renowned for our forward play and overlapping fullbacks. Did anyone see that today? Nope me neither.

It may well be a generation thing. I was dreading Utd winning as it would have been our third defeat in 10 league games. I don't suppose that would cross a youngsters mind. Honestly, I am now on Jennings "Cocker Hoop" as it seems a good way of celebrating. I'm sure the Rags will not be happy in the circumstances.

I've seen better matches but we were missing Sergio and Dave we had been playing Seville on Wednesday also that was the best the scum had and they were at home so I'm happy with the point. I'll settle for a point against Arsenal too that's how you win the league Ffs. KDB had a fair game seeing as he had two rags on him all the time maybe we could have used that to create some space. Sagna is good now and ortamendi looked great today -looks like the coaching is good doesn't it ? like mangala is much better since we started coaching him there's a lot to be glad about.

I don't think Yaya should be a defensive midfielder but he's no No 10 either. Really he needs to play deeper than he did today but with the freedom to rampage forward. Two Ferns plus Yaya in big matches gets a big thumbs up from me but Pellegrini didn't get it right today.

I can see both sides of this. I'm not dis appointed with a point, but we offered absolutely nothing on the counter attack. None of our front players played well.

On the one hand I sort of think it's about time Pellers got a bit of pragmatism, but on the other, we're a better side than that. Why not go out and beat them. Truth is they looked hungrier to win the ball than any of our forward players.

The most disappointing thing for me was, that is exactly the kind of mentality going into a game at the swamp, that we criticize other teams for. The difference is we are good enough to get the result, but you are very much relying on the fortune of the bounce of a ball.
Other teams turn up defeated, we always say. Well we weren't far off that mentality today.
We didn't look like we believed we could win.

I am not too disappointed with today.

This was one battle in the war of thirty eight games. It was more important in the context of the war not to lose this particular battle. We have gone to the backyard of one of our rivals and not lost ground on them. Yes, the football wasn't great, but how often have we been wringing our hands at a gung-ho approach that has led to a defeat? Today was a more solid, pragmatic, attritional approach that one would expect of Pulis, not Pellegrini. I for one am quietly impressed and pleased he has shown this side to his management.

We now have a very winnable home game next whilst the rags and Arsenal will be away. A chance to further solidify first place. Silva will be back soon and as long we are in the hunt when Aguero is firing again we will be fine.

Kompany and Otamendi together looked tight which is a big plus. You can't win every game but it is important not to lose the ones you don't play well in. I think that's what pundits call "champions mentality"?

Sterling had a perfect chance to pass to bony who was unmarked and could have easily tapped it in. Instead he wanted to go for glory again and spunked it up the wall.

Fairly proud of our defensive display but now we've seen it there's no excuse when it comes to tough away games.

Raheem Sterling, he's top of the league.

Be a while before the rags win the title , they are miles away with no world class players , organised yes but have no real fire power like they used to have . They have evolved into a different type of team with no fear factor which is easy to play against . Arsenal will be our biggest threat for the title this season imho , we now have a decent run of games before we go to the Emirates hopefully with a fully fit squad . Again excellent point today in the circumstances which keeps us at the top of the league ........... Norwich at home next Saturday !
