****Dynamo Kiev v Man City **** Official Match Thread

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Zuricity. We just see the game different ways.
An assist, foot on the ball, moved it around, unlucky not to score one and pips up with a stunner. Big moment, big player.
If by some miracle Komps and Aguero stay fit, the title hasn't gone yet.
Oh and Silva was bob on tonight.
After the first fifteen, we really took control of that game and made good opportunities all the way through.
Let's not run down a magnificent away performance and win in Europe, where many good teams have cone unstuck.
Hope springs eternal.

Opposite to what we all thought. Pen for Silva, but not fern. Bizarre. Said the decisions didn't effect the result of the game though. Fucking idiot! It does on the overall tie though, you tit.

Interesting, never seen a UK channel show the non-UK chances with so much gusto.

Are they trying to give all our haters hope or just trying to give the Dippers a heads up.

I've been working in Newcastle this week, left work late, had something to eat and made it to the Akenside for the last 25 mins. So I've missed missed most of the angst you lot went through, but it certainly is fun reading this thread with hindsight lol.

Anyway, it's hard to better a 3-1 away win in the last 16 if the CL, so enjoy.

Two goals with 20 and 19 touches respectively. Impressive stuff in the league of "champions".

While it's a very good result and a decent performance, let's not get too carried away just yet. Chicken Kiev were very average.
A very different game ahead on Sunday.

Don't really agree about Silva. I think he is still trying to get back to match fitness. His weight of pass is well below his standard.
A lot of good positions broke down to nothing from bad misplaced passes.

I do agree with your substantive point though. I think he is getting there and hopefully it all comes together for him, starting Sunday.
Get him back to his best. Keep Kompany and Aguero and himself fit. Get Yaya scoring regularly(still think he has to play less minutes).
We're not out of it yet.

I think we saw much of what makes Yaya a top top player tonight. Although he played centrally and not just with an attacking role he did so much to give us control in the game. Caught a couple of times very early on but after that he was the focal point of our passing game.
Much of the good pressing was done by others,Fernando especially, but he did his bit winning a few and one in particular as a break looked on. Assisted with the first with a neat little header ( a rarity in itself) and largely dictated the play. Should obviously have scored with the header ( I would have fancied that one) but made up for the that with the 3rd ( I don't even dream about goals as good as that)

Seems that somebody was listening more to CamelGob than actually watching the game. Normal shit for the older viewer.
