Thought the fans were shocking TBH. Kept thinking the sound on my telly was playing up. Terrible effort.

The atmosphere was great today. Loads of passion and noise. Get your telly changed!

No, it was definitely terrible. No effort at all. Very poor, and lots of empty seats. Awful.

So let me get this right. You are sat at home complaining that the fans who have bothered to go to the game haven't put any effort in and from your armchair at home you are complaining that there are empty seats at the ground?? Unreal.
I went, the atmosphere was fantastic.

Yeah that's right mate, very poor atmosphere, especially first half. Definitely not "fantastic". And yes, lots of empty seats, or did I imagine that?

Courtesy Jamie Jackson:

3) Was the Gündogan tribute over the top?
As the City players strolled out for the start each wore the shirt of Ilkay Gündogan, which features his name and number, back-to-front. This was to send best wishes to the midfielder who will miss the remainder of the campaign because of cruciate knee ligament damage sustained in the win against Watford. How City – or any side – wish to show solidarity with an injured colleague is their choice, of course, but it did jar a little. Especially given that players, unfortunately, are continually struck down and have to come back from the maladies which are part of the hazards of being a professional footballer. Was this over the top? The reaction on social media, particularly Twitter, suggested so, though this is hardly an arena of calm and considered opinion.

dipperesque

seriously embarrassing

Why? The lads obviously wanted to show how they felt for their team mate. If anything it shows what they think of him as a person, you fucked up fuck!

if liverpool players came out wearing tshirts for coutinho you'd be slating them

I think this is a bit different in that he came back from a huge injury at the same knee and Coutinho is not out for the season. A player's personality also plays a part and how their teammates see the player. I suspect he is held in high regard and is quite demoarlised. He was crying afterwards.

I saw loads of empty seats mate, from my sports room, not my living room you Wally! And didn't hear much first half. But as you were there, was the atmosphere "fantastic" in the first half, and were there no empty seats?

I think it's a concern that there appeared to be loads of empty seats, even though we apparently sold out weeks ago. Maybe that had an effect on the atmosphere?

Oh my you have a sports room. I will say again, the actual fans who attended the game sang their hearts out from going 1-0 down. I am watching again now from my living room( cant afford a sports room because I pay for tickets to support my team) and the fans sound fantastic perhaps you should get better speakers for your sports room or, and it's just a thought, buy a ticket a fill one of those empty seats. Merry Christmas.

I can't believe your arguing about the atmosphere with someone who went to the match whilst you watched on tv.

Believe it or not it has been known for the likes of Sky to turn pitchside microphones down just so they can slag us off.

It's a shame Zaba is injured. Ligaments, so he may be out for a while. Maffeo may get a look in or maybe we could try Stones out as a full back? Not sure he is strong enough for the middle but he may be a good right back?

This is ace really. Everyone pretending there were no empty seats, and the atmosphere was ace. I was there mate, can't remember such a surreal, weird atmosphere since, ooo, Wednesday night.

My season ticket only cost £380. It's cheaper than 12 non league teams. I won't comment on the atmosphere in your sports complex because I wasn't there.

You have picked the wrong time, the wrong people and definitely the wrong argument - empty seats - ( just before xmas) - Especially as you didn't go to the game, to come on here after god knows how long an absence, to bitch and moan about anything .
