As long as we get this slag in I'm not bothered if he can play on Saturday. Just want it done and dusted!!

The latest info...............

Balotelli agent: "We want City"
Thursday 12 August, 2010
“We’ve made important steps forward. I am coming to England tomorrow and we want Manchester City,” revealed Mario Balotelli’s agent.
It was reported today that Mino Raiola flew in to Milan to hold final negotiations with Inter and he confirmed to Sky Sport Italia that a deal is imminent.

“The negotiations aren’t finished yet, but we’ve made important steps forward. I am very confident, we hope it can all be closed quickly.

“I doubt that Mario could be on the field on Saturday, even if we were to finish the deal tomorrow it would be very difficult.

“If it was up to me, he’d play the second Premier League game with Liverpool, but I cannot guarantee that.”

Raiola’s words suggest it really is a matter of hours before Balotelli completes his move to Roberto Mancini’s City.

“Tomorrow I’ll fly to England. I don’t know if Mario will come with me. We’ll decide what to do and whether his presence will be useful.

“We still need to finalise the bonus situation. Is €28m plus bonuses the price to seal it? I know the right price, but I’m going to let you guess.

“What I can say is that we want Manchester City and hope the negotiations can be finalised soon.”

It was reported that Manchester City have raised their offer to €26m plus bonuses, whereas Inter reduced their price-tag to €28m from an original €30m

I should imagine Twenty Eight Million Pounds has got something to do with it. We've all got very casual about enormous sums of money but other clubs care about every penny they can get fom us, as do agents. Then think of all the possible clauses that could occur in a deal for a player predicted to become one of the world's best. It could amount to tens of millions in the future. Then look at image rights, now & in ayear or two's time if/when he's a world star. Then what happens if we don't want to pay the agent's fee? then how his sponsorship deals are affected & if they clash with ours. i'm sure there will be a few hundred more details all open to negotiation.

Cheers pal, and you are right in the fact that there is loads to negotiate but at the same time, I do think a lot of it is to do with the agents fee and how much he gets from the deal. Didn't we have to go back to Inters men to re-negotiate the fee paid after spaking with his agent?

Didn't Ireland get a new contract of around 60 grand a week not too long ago? I would've thought that he'd want a rise on that which would probably take him over their top end wage structure.

His he worth that much?

If I was Villa I'd have seen nothing last season or in preseason worth rewarding with an increase.

fortunately No. But in terms of cold, dispassionate women they would certainly be close to the top of my list, no?

Now i'm not talking about marrying one and putting her in a sex swing 3x a day with loads of bondage tape...that's prollee normal for German husbands since the Germans seem nearly as perverted as the Japanese at their core, but for a transactional bang i cannot imagine they could possibly not be really utilitarian and annoying about it. Paid or otherwise.

Contrast with Brasilian, Spanish/Mexican/Latina, or American gurls. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola believes a deal could go through on Friday, although admits it is unlikely he will feature in City's Premier League opener against Tottenham on Saturday.

"Today, there was a step forwards, I can confirm that," Raiola told Sky Italia.

"So I am very confident about closing the deal soon but it doesn't just depend on me.

"Will he play on Saturday against Tottenham? Look, at this point I would say no. Even if we close the deal tomorrow he wouldn't be able to do it, because of all the paperwork.

"Then the English laws impose details that would exclude his presence as early as Saturday.

"I am very optimistic, but today the deal is not already done.

Anyone know what the deal is with these "add on's" with the balotelli deal there saying £28 million plus add-on's if he's any good.

Seems to be a common thing i hear about all the time but it makes no sense to me that we would soend £28 million and then if the player is any good we owe them even more money.
