interesting as Sunderland fans thought they had to win it & I had Rag fans wanting us to win it as it increased their chances if qualifying via league placing

Either way don't care - proud to be a blue, going to wear my scarf & City tie to work tomorrow - bastards had red & white day on Friday, I think it's time for an impromptu Blue Monday lol

What odds a repeat for the FA cup final. Both teams still in it and both will fancy chances of getting to semi. Must be a good shout for a semi final repeat showdown or final itself

Going to have a read of this thread up to the half-time point tomorrow. I'll bet it's a sight for sore eyes.

The Sky fuckers in their news report (even before they show the beautiful beautiful goals) are on about our team cost £207m and Sunderland was collective £25m with two free transfers and three on loan players and ... oh, well, fuck em!

4 great goals. Borini's was very good. I can't wait to camp out watching replays of ours. Just brilliant.

Until I just watched the highlights show I hadn't realised how much credit should go to Lemons for Nasri's goal - a quick and accurate long ball upfield to Kun directly contributed to the chance to score.

Everytime that goal goes in from YaYa the hairs stand up on the back of my neck - incredible finish, still can't believe all that's happened over the last few years - this should only come true in dreams

Just got back.

Great occasion , first half we were shocking , but two fantastic goals changed all that.

Credit to Sunderland and their fans , loads of them in our hotel and had a great crack with them yesterday and after the game today.

Off work tomoz so one or two celebratory beers now as it has been a long drive home.

Loved it!

Great atmosphere, great day and 2 moments of utter magic that will go down in City folklore.

Ya Ya's strike was pure brilliance, Nasri's was the stuff of dreams and seeing those 2 go in was like concorde going throught your underpants. Samir will never hit a ball cleaner in his career.

Fabulous day, and though not at our best we dug that one out as genius turned up for us when we needed it.

Agreed.

Kolarov was superb then too. He initially headed the ball back to Pantilimon then sprinted down the wing to put his cross in.

A simply brilliant goal all round.

Sunderland did have to win it to qualify for Europe. Now 6th place can go into Europa league. Last year was the last time a runner up could have qualified. I know some rags who wanted us to win because of this.

How so very nice to wake so early in March and sit and watch thr highlights of us winning a cup at Wembley.

Komps tackle on Borini was perfect and he redeemed himself for the earlier mess, kept us truly in the game.
Terrible mess of a free kick but thankfully Yaya's brilliance made amends, WOW what a shot, trigger pulled and BOOM!!!!!!!!

Pants distribution spot on throughout and excellent ball to Serg and top bombing forward by the lads for Narsi's clinical strike. Just shows the difference getting the ball forward so quickly can do!

Wish Komps little effort at doing a Tuart had gone in!

Yayas break forward and inch perfectly timed pass to Navas a joy to watch.

BRILLIANT JUST BLOODY BRILLIANT! !!!

HAPPY MONDAY! :-)
