Without reading the full thread I have to say that that was the best I've seen Newcastle all season. Only got to see 55 minutes but the amount of effort they put in that space of time was immense. Hassled and harried us to the point where we didn't know which way they were coming from.

Fair play to them, I thought this would be a decent result for us before the game, and during the first 15 minutes, but the put in a sterling performance and were we'll worry of a point.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

haha. and people thought this side could move up to 2nd.

i can't decide who was worse, Delph or Yaya. both were utter wastes of space.

as shit as Mangala was again Kompany shouldn't play for the rest of the season barring injury.

thank god for Hart because Kolarov almost gifted Newcastle 3 points.

What is it with Sterling...I thought he was supposed to have lightning pace, but rarely have I seen it. I know he's been injured, but come on!
He had daylight in front of him and plenty of space, but time and time again he doubles back and short passes...If only he used his speed and took a man on I wouldn't mind, but I just don't see what I used to see when he played for the dippers.

Gareth Barry. Should still be in that squad. He would add more Han Fernando and Delph. Neither can pass wind. When KDB Yaya Kun are off the pace we are a mid table side. Easy to play against and clueless.

Bony in front of ian ffs, navas complete waste of time plenty of pace but time and time again does nothing what so ever, delph is a centre mid not left wing, yaya is an impact player now a days, gets gassed to easily, kolorov is simply an awful defender but could be decent left mid.
You play your best team get in front then bring off your main players once its safe to do so.
We rely on sergio far too much simply because we have no decent back up, ian is a raw talent ,pony simple shite

I think our players have one eye on Tuesday, at this rate we'll be lucky to be playing in the CL next season!!

I really do not know what Nacho has to do to play, he is miles ahead of Bony, he's the best young striker in Manchester, yet we play an incompetant striker ahead of him! I cannot wait to see the back of Bony, I really can't, he's the one player I dread seeing step on to the pitch, he just does nothing! We might aswell play with 10!
Tick tock tick tock.

Before people go blaming the manager for using the game to get players fit rather than putting out his strongest team to get the win and put pressure on the teams below us (not to mention the cherry on the cake of bringing on Bony (presumably for comic effect)), the truth is I forgot to wear my lucky Che Guevara T-shirt that I've had on for the last 4 games. Rest assured, I shall be wearing it at the game on Saturday. Apologies.

Has Navas got genuine pace though? When do you ever see him outstrip anybody? For me he just has fast moving legs. I don't know who decided to sign him but he's Championship level at best. I despise Kyle Walker but in the last couple of games he has been a more effective winger than Navas and he's a right back.

I just wish Mangala and Otemendi had more composure on the ball. There are times when there's no need to just hoof it. They are not ball playing cbs and i'll be surprised if they survive the Pep cull.

Hopefully with Denayer coming back, you'll see them all given one season to sort their feet out or pack their bags.

This.

I cannot for the life of my understand why he insists on the easy option. Navas is guilty of it, but at least he sometimes has a go.
Is it something that is coached out of them at the very top level as its all about ball retention (unless you're Ronaldo etc)? Whereas at Liverpool or similar clubs, they are encouraged to just "have a go".

Granted I'm shit but all I ever looked forward to in a game was getting half an opportunity to go have a run at the left back.

61 pts from 34 games is a fucking pathetic return for a club of our standing . Any manager performing that badly would almost certainly have been sacked by our owners , mitigating circumstances (pep) our cup final win and CL semi final should still not distract from our abysmal Premier League showing which was there to win comfortably .
Not really here
