By my reckoning, we've spent £201.5m buying first team players - Bernardo Silva (£43m), Ederson Moraes (£35m), Kyle Walker (£45m), Danilo (£26.5m), Benjamin Mendy (£52m). This excludes Douglas Luiz and other players bought and loaned out or recruited to the academy.

I'd be interested to know our net spend for the first team squad this summer.

Well for accuracy, sales split into before and after eob on 31 May would be best!

SSN list is pretty accurate this year. They have a few 'undisclosed' though.

But as stated the first two sneaked into last year. Last week one of the so-called experts said he'd done a quick fag-packet calculation and City wouldn't even come close to breaking guidelines/rules on business so far, with all the increased revenue etc.

Don't forget you don't pay it all out in one year! I still reckon we are in for a big striker signing if we can oull one off.

And it really is no business of any other club or the Spanish FA who spends what - they don't know the books of each club and i suggest everyone minds their own business on FFP - I'm sure it will all come out in the wash

Thanks. I've seen this site before and always thought they used Euro-Sterling conversions because the amounts for all clubs differ from what is quoted in the media and vary over time. Anyway, it is an impartial, comprehensive* source, so...

Total spend for City this summer: £216.45m (on players valued by transfermarkt at £178.56m)
Total income from sales this summer: £71.42m (on players valued by transfermarkt at £102.38m)

So a net spend over the summer of £145m, with £81m in 2016/17 (assuming we sold no players this summer before 1 June) and 'only' £64m so far in 2017/18.

(* I know it is not totally comprehensive as, for one - or two, the Serbian brothers from Red Star Belgrade are not included in the spend.)
