Twitchy uses different currency to the rest of us. He's probably already got a couple of million ready in a brown envelope in case the deal falls through.

The white club considers the hiring of another Xabi Alonso high-priority and to day of today a midfield player more complete does not exist than the captain of the Arsenal. Florentine Perez is prepared to realise a concerted effort to their hiring and much would approach the pretensions of the Arsenal, that they go up to around the 40 million Euros. Wenger no longer will be a problem. If the president fulfills the economic expectations of gunners to come off itself his great star, the French technician no longer will see itself with forces to retain one more season to him. Cesc has been eight years in England and considers mainly that it has fulfilled a cycle, if the Arsenal does not gain a title. Madrid sees in Cesc the solution in center all problems of the field. The group is exceeded of containment midfield players - Lass, Mahamadou and Khedira- but walk little of organizers - Gago does not convince. Madrid undergoes Xabidependencia and is a symptom that wants to eliminate of the equipment with the arrival of the international midfield player.

Wouldn't that be heresy to Fabs to play for the Whites given his Barca ties? seems like it.

according to a certain spanish newspaper - we're lining up kaka again - BUT Manchester United might hijack the move with a loan move that *might* lead to a 50 million pound transfer

of this sounds like and most likely is bollocks but I think we should try again to sign kaka - think he'd jump at the chance now

Are we after Romelu Lukaku? From this Mail article it seems so...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ukaku.html

Manchester City have made contact with Anderlecht over teenage striker Romelu Lukaku to say they are ready to meet the £18million asking price.

The 17-year-old has been the subject of strong interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, while Arsenal have also watched him extensively, but Anderlecht's valution has left a limited market with City ready to flex their financial muscle if they can convince him to move to Manchester.

That has all the hallmarks of utter bollox mate.

Kaká I'm more inclined to believe, purely for the reason that I can't see a back-up to David Silva in our squad. Nice bit of hard bargaining from Cooky and Marwood should get him on our terms now he's flopped in Spain. Plus if Scum want him, lets take him for the crack.

I agree completely, although if Lukaku is going to be the next big thing as forwards go, better splash 18m on him now than possibly 40 or 50 in one or two seasons, when the new financial rules will be on. Of course, he could be a flop and then we would have wasted 18m, which again, would be very bad business considering the new rules.

Edin Dzeko Will Arrive In Manchester 4 January
Vital Manchester City understands VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko (24) will fly into Manchester tomorrow, Tuesday 4 January 2011 whereby he will undertake a medical.

It appears the transfer will cost Manchester City in the region of £27million and if reports are correct personal terms between MCFC, Dzeko and his agent have already been ironed out.

Our forums are buzzing especially with the news that one of the best strikers in Europe is coming to Manchester. Check them out here and have your say.

Till I see him holding the shirt I won't believe it. Not a dig at you mate but too many times transfers that were "done" then collapsed like a card castle.

Inter Milan are reportedly pondering a player-plus-cash deal to sign Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez at the end of the current campaign.

Reports in Italy claim new Inter manager Leonardo has presented a ‘wanted list’ to club president Massimo Moratti and is prepared to offer the Cameroon forward Samuel Eto’o as a makeweight in the Tevez deal.

Eto’o is under contract until 2014, but has been linked with a move to the Premier League before and he played under Mancini at Inter when the Italian coach was in charge there.

Tevez is reported to have a strained relationship with manager Roberto Mancini and handed in a transfer request last month before performing a U-turn and pledging his future to City.

But there are claims the club have agreed to let the 26-year-old leave in the summer and that has given Inter hope they can land the combative forward.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year moved to the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2009 in a swap deal itself involving Zlatan Ibrahimovic after winning two European titles and a ton of league trophies with Barcelona.

That's a bit lazy. Eto'o and Mancini were never at Inter together.
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.
