Tevez hands in transfer request?????

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I remember when Figo went to Madrid from Barcelona. When he came back, the Barca fans had a banner that said "We hate you so much because we loved you so much".

That's pretty much how I feel about City being treated like this by a player. I'm not sure I can remember anything as bad, though I guess Anelka messed us about a bit.

Barton was worse. If he had gone we would of been in oblivion right now.

I don't think it's any coincidence that Tevez had a huge chip on his shoulder with Fergie, before he joined us, Ade had the same with Arsenal, and Mario with Inter.
As far as i know Silva didn't have the same issues, nor people like Kolorov. We don't need any more 'damaged goods'. Although not in the same calibre playing wise, Barry, De Jong, Kompany Milner, AJ, Boetang and so forth, joined City to improve themselves and their situation. Tevez just wanted to get out from where he was, like Robbie did at Madrid. We waved the dosh, as the next port in a storm.

Let us no longer target players with an agenda or personal vendetta. Ade used his goal celebration against Arsenal to let out his anger, as did Tevez against the Rags. In some ways, I feel those players 'used' us and did not come to City for honest football reasons. We have the money, the ambition and the credentials now to get to the top. we don't want any players who could further sabotage our journey

Thing is though, at the time of Robinhos transfer we couldn't get anyone else. Nobody wanted to pay off MSI but us and Adebayor was an easy target, because he was unsettled. If Balotelli was sane, he'd be playing for Barca, Real or Inter still. Sometimes you have to take a punt to progress. We took more than one and progress we did. These players may have used City, but City used those players too.

But now, I agree, we can actually pick our targets more carefully and flog the troublemakers in the process.

So would i be right in presuming he must have a new club lined up already? Who can afford him? Real?

Tevez going mental at Mancini for being brought off now makes sense. He knew it was going to be his last game for the club so probably wanted to stay on till the end, wave goodbye and give his shirt away to someone. In his own deluded little brain he thinks the fans would love him for it and thank him for playing for City.

just transferred him to Accrington Stanley in my FIFA game
it's a little victory
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

"However, I can confirm I have handed a transfer request to the chairman of Manchester City Football Club. Now I need to clear my head and think because this is an important part of my career. My feelings have not changed and it is regrettable we have reached this situation but It is something I have felt for some time and have spent many hours thinking this through.

"I wanted to leave in the summer, but was convinced to return to the club. Sadly, my feelings have not changed. I hugely resent the management's suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others. I am disappointed that the management should now see fit to try to portray the situation in another light.

"My relationship with certain executives and individuals at the club has broken down and is now beyond repair. I do not wish to expand on this at this stage. They know, because I have told them. I wish to clarify that I have no personal issue with the manager Roberto Mancini.

"I could have signed an improved contract, offered by the club during this season; however this decision is not about money. I have made that clear to both the board and the management on several occasions. The owner has been very generous with what he has offered to me. I would like to thank Sheik Mansour for his understanding and support.

"I want to thank the supporters for making me welcome at Manchester City and hope they agree I have given my all for the club on the pitch."

Do you not think that City, as they pay his astonomical wages, can, as part of the contract in place say to Tevez - "Carlos we want to do a feature interview with you in the magazine this month and this how it needs to go...."?

Well if it went like that, It must have come from Gary Cook the PR and marketinhg genius, and he must surely be fired because this is fucking embarrassing if it turns out to be true.

However, what does Carlos want? One minute its homesickness and retirement, the next its, a transfer request. Personally I think its a Kia Joorabchian ego trip. He's seen Rooney get a much improved contract, and is now going to try and get his player to get the highest wages in the prem....especially when we have the capacity to award such a deal.

Finally, i think i saw a stat that we had either never won a game, or won one game this season when Tevez was missing. It may only be West Ham, but it shows we can play without him, and win.

The choice is his...Sadly, I think he will leave to somewhere like Real. Manchester City will move one, whereas Carlos will be riding the pine only to see him request a move in 12 months because he isn't getting the playing time...then it won't be our worry.

You don't do an interview with a player in two parts telling him exactly what he's got to say IN SPANISH, you ask him how he feels & if the reply you get is to your liking, you do the interview & if the result is still to your liking you put it out. The idea they forced Tevez to say that is childish & nowhere is it being claimed that he didn't answer the questions truthfully. The claim is that HE CHANGED HIS MIND after the Bolton incident. It's clearly horseshit & if he has asked for a transfer it's nothing to do with either.

Ted, are you really that naive? Have you not heard of spin before?

Tevez wanted to leave in the summer and it's clear that there has been all sorts of shit going down behind the scenes for a good while, stuff that was undoubtedly going on when the magazine interview took place.

I'm not saying the club told him what to say word for word, but they would have said put a postive slant on things for the sake of the fans cos we won't print any of the negative stuff etc etc.

You can rest assured of that as well as the sun shines.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
